Bro...don't simply trash a product with your negligence. What I know SF Sprint filters does not need any oil spray like K&N. They are newer design with new tech which does not need oil. They are made of polimer membranes and not papers. When you spray oil,you apparently blocked the breathing membranes and made them worthless.

What a weird thing to say I use a p08 f1-85 on my panigale v4. The f1-85 is less restrictive than the regular p08. Which should mean there would be more dust not less. It picked up power just about everywhere on the dyno. I’m at 5k miles on it and my airbox was still spotless. I live in what is considered a desert I would expect sand at minimum but that wasn’t the case at all.

You ruined the air filter with oil. It is an oiless air filter not a k&n design. Good luck misinforming people.
@GerBeGurGya2 жыл бұрын
The filter alone will not get you more power. You have to add more fuel for that as you need to do a complete fuel remap. If you dont do it you will lose mid range power and gain nothing on the top. Sprint filter is a "dry" filter and should not be oiled. I made test between K&N and the Sprint and I had to add 11% extra fuel at the top 1/4 rpm range when I replace with the sprint and that shows up as extra power throughout the range. Had it in my bike the 3rd year now and not a speck of dust behind the filter.
@robertkulpinski Жыл бұрын
How much hp did you gain
@GerBeGurGya Жыл бұрын
@@robertkulpinski I dont have an HP number. I do record data all the time and all I can tell you after I opened up the air box my prized K&N filter become a bottle neck. After I put the Sprint in there the IAP which is a difference between atmospheric and manifold pressure went half above 8K proving that indeed this filter is superior. To take advantage you must do a custom job on the airbox beyond just the usual 2" hoses or you will not see anything. As I have the Busa's bin loaded before these mods i had to take 20% fuel away just with those as it was running rich. After I could add back %11 which is the source of the gain and it is not insignificant.
@clipofthedayyup4907 Жыл бұрын
More air and the ecu will add more fuel. Less air flow then less fuel. Less fuel and air Less power.

for anyone knocking this guy for spray filter oil on the filter, that oil is specifically designed to capture dirt. if anything, it would help trap dirt. am a HUGE advocate in the MWR system. coming from motocross, all the bikes run oiled, foam filters just like the MWR. when the foam is coated with super tacky filter oil as intended, you will not find a filter that will trap more dirt, and flow more air. ive had races in the mud and sand having the filter be more than halfway caked with texas clay/sand and not a spec gets past even with the vibrations a mx bike has.... the foam is the obvious winner. flowing the same amount of air, except 100% clean. sure its more maintenance.. but thats the catch to more air, and more reliability
@Robmiezer66 Жыл бұрын
Actually oiling the filter and not using the sealing gasket will force the air to come in from the least restrictive entry point, the gap around the gasket without filtration. Foam is great for offroad but needs cleaning often (measured in hours)
