A photograph of Ellie with the calf laying together like you showed us in your video is front page material for the "Farmers Almanac." It just doesn't get any cuter than that! Such an adorable little girl who looks like her mother, Erin and is going to make her father, Josh, go a little crazy, when she gets to her teenage years.

Sure you've worked this out, but anyway … the butterfly brackets get bolted to the inside (not the outside as seen here ;) of the vertical legs, then the diagonal cross-braces will align so that they have a thru-bolt at the midpoint to form a secured X-brace. Loving the transformation to a small-holding ...

Greetings from far north Queensland Australia. I work for a rural supplies company and its great to see all the products you guys are using. Many of these things from boots to silos are pretty much what we sell here too although we live in a hot tropical climate. We run a very friendly customer focussed business and its great talking with all the farmers here about there experiences. We mainly service the banana, sugarcane and cattle industries although we also cover most other things as well. Ive been watching your show since the beginning and its amazing how far you have come. From an outsiders perspective it is truely a mammoth feat you guys have achieved. Well done.

I recall fixing milk for out youngsters in the late 40s. We didn't use individual bottles, but would have 10 galvanized buckets, with nipples, hooked to the side of our barn. We'd get all the milk mixed, poured in the buckets and then get out of the way when we opened the gate to let 10 calves at a time in to eat. Fun memories.

1:20 I often stand up on the tractor, I think it's just safer a lot of times. That's why the stupid seat sensor that shuts it down when you raise up, is the first thing I disable on a new tractor.

Ellie and the calf cuddling was borderline cuteness overload. What a sweet little human. I can only imagine that the baby animals really get a lot of benefit from having a little human there with them when they're so young and bonding with their new caretakers. They have to be happier than animals who don't get to grow up alongside kids. Poor Leon legit looked devastated there for a little while. He seemed to be stunned as if he were thinking, "All along, I was helping to build my own prison."

I think the bracket’s should be bolted inside the leg not outside. Check the distance from leg to leg to be sure they are straight, like you did the post on the decks. Dig 4 places the same level and put some blocks or get some12” or 18” square pavers for it to set on so it doesn’t sink and turn over. 9000 lbs is a lot of weight for a little square pieces of metal to set on. Y’all are doing great stay safe and a Bless New Year.
