Well Done Lee for letting Gaz show this vlog. If you don't want to look silly with a laser buy a watch , we all miss hit shots

Bless him, it's tough as a new golfer, he was a good sport, it'll be great to see more videos with him and see his progress with your help. 👌🏼

Greens looking immaculate Gaz! Hand cutting too 👍 I am impressed with how you explained to Lee about where to place his trolley around the 'pretties', new (and sometimes seasoned) golfers don't understand the importance of where traffic should go on a golf course. Your explanation was clear, to the point and totally unoffensively delivered. So much better than the well meaning member running across the course shouting instructions, out of breath and arms flailing... Lee, it's hard playing golf whilst being filmed, you did great 👍

Lasers have benefits especially in Winter on temp greens etc but a simple GPS watch like Garmin S12 is quick and easy to use and covers most situations.

It's great seeing a newish golfer. Takes me back to when I first started. Lee should take heart from the fact that his chipping looks really good. Nice soft hands.

I was also taught not to take the trolley between bunker and green.

Good on ya for teaching the etiquette of the game as well as course management Gaz! Lee, get yourself a golf watch if you're not keen on a laser. Quicker and easier to get a distance, and let's face it mate, most of us arent good enough for the couple of yards discrepancy between laser and watch to make a difference.

Cheers Lexx, rather me than someone else. Yeah, could be a good route to go down.

I use the 18 birdies free version for the gps and keep track of my scores and it gives me a handicap 10.5 at the moment. I use a range finder along with that and I find it really good definitely improved my golf with using them for sure . Love the new tech these days anything that helps is an advantage in my book 👍 And with being able to go to a track man range and get your average yardages for each club . We’ve never had it better take every help I can get 😁

Some observations, NOT CRITICISM! - It's not important how far each club goes - It is important that you know how far each of your clubs go. - Unless you're hitting a "feel" shot, you MUST know the distance to your target. Lee Trevino once said, "the numbers are only club for your ego"!

That was brilliant, thank you Lee and Gary. A really incisive, helpful vlog (and, selfishly, chuffed to hear the mention of t'old nemesis Tinsley Park golf course! #the_inhumanity). Tip for Lee - park all ego and leverage every legal means to crack 90, that you can... you've an awesome chip! Looking forward to the next instalment 🤜

Good video Gaz and well done Lee for playing on camera. I’m off 12 and my advice to Lee is learn your distances and improve strike before worrying about devices like that. His strike is so inconsistent it’ll make no difference to him at all

Ive no idea how people manage to play without using a watch or laser to get distances. Id never be able to commit to a shot if i didnt know the exact yardage

I’m not saying lasers are a “bad” thing but all this modern technology is taking the “skill” out of judging distances on the golf course. How good would the “old timers” have been in their day, too.😊😊
