Will a JBL GO 3 work with a flash drive? (2023)

This is just an experiment to find out if the JBL GO 3 is able play music from a USB drive by using a USB type C OTG adapter.

Yeah you can but it will only charge it, nothing else happens.

Nothing happens, it will only charge it if you connect it to a laptop, I haven't tried the phone but I'm sure it doesn't work also.

For real JBL speakers, I haven't found one that reads USB drives (I don't think they exist). The best one that I have tested and sounds good to me is the Tronsmart 100. Good bass, good treble (depending on what you chose in the Tronsmart app).

So far I haven't heard of any real JBL speaker that can play music from a USB drive. Other speaker brands have what you're looking for.

the speaker was not outputting any voltage to power the usb drive so even if it tried to read the data nothing would happen
