My favorite analogy is looking at woodworkers. Back before electricity, wood was laboriously prepared by hand, cutting with handsaws, planed by hand etc. Along comes power tools: circular saws, planers, etc. More accurate work done much faster. Of course now you have IKEA and other mass producers which produce adequate furniture cheaply so that more people can afford. I have no doubt that AI will achieve accuracy and comprehension of systems. Woodworking Not a great analogy since furniture just sits there but computer systems run modern civilization. I don't believe, however, that AI systems will want to 'take over'. I don't believe they have any existential motivations or fears. My 2 cents.
