In this video I'm answering the question, "Will a iPhone 15 Pro case fit on the older iPhone 14 Pro?" I've been getting asked this question randomly so I wanted to do a quick video to answer the question!

I think people are asking because 14 Pro cases have basically disappeared from stores, at least by me. You can get 15 pro cases, but mostly only 14 pro max cases can be found in stores. The options for 14 pro cases are extremely limited, if available at all without being ordered.

I am watching this video because a familiar give me one case of iphone 15 pro, but I have iphone 14 pro, so I think the case is good

Honestly, the clicklock feature is cool and it’s a shame they don’t make it for the 14 pro, so I might get the 15 pro case and cut out the action button portion and trim the grills and port sections. I do see the stretch because the 15 pro is slightly thinner and shorter, so that’s why it’s kinda bulging. I wouldn’t really do this for other cases, but my current presidio pro for my 14 pro is getting really beat up. Lots of protection, but my back glass has cracked a few times. So I’m not sure I’d even get this case again, the candy shell was my go to from iPhone 3GS, but maybe I’ll do something crazy, I just drop my phone a lot, so mous is appealing. I have done leather many times and I love it, I’ve done thin cases too, but I’d say that protective cases that aren’t bulky and have MagSafe are my preferred choice and the clicklock presidio pro case might be the best decision for the moment, I’m very hesitant though.

In one of my videos recently, I put the iPhone 14 Pro Max dummy into a iPhone 15 Pro Max UAG Case and the fit was very tight. Along the left hand side of the case, the dummy device was flexing/bulging out, meaning that it could temporarily be used, but purchasing the actual iPhone 15 Pro Max UAG Case was definitely a have to. If you want the best results the fit has to be perfect.

OEMs don't include charging blocks because of carbon footprint/environmental consciousness. BUT some OEMs change design language annually requiring case manufacturers to make different/more cases. 🤔😂

My 14 pro cases are compatible with 15 pro. No problem pushing the button via the cut out. Don’t spend more money

Well I know it “works” but the dimensions are technically different. So I agree, if you have 14 Pro cases already, maybe save the $. Just remember it might not be exact.

Not the exact same thing, but my partner got two iPhone 15 screen protectors and gave me one. It fit my iPhone 14 Pro perfectly. If the screens are the same size, the screen protector will fit.

I have a casetify iPhone 14 pro phone case and it does have a hold cut out where the silent button is and was thinking about trading in my phone for the 15 pro but don’t want to buy another case so was wondering if it will still fit

No, that wouldn’t work. The 14 Pro Max case would fit on the 15 Pro Max.

The reason why the 14 pro doesn’t line up with button of the case very well is because the phone has a flat, edge to edge back while the 15 pro is thicker and has a rounded edge on the back, this is important because the case is designed to fit that rounded edge device.

Plan on getting a refurbished 15 Pro in September when the 16 drops so hopefully my 12 Pro Otterbox Aneu case will fit it as I really like the case. The mold must be somewhat universal as the “mute switch” cutout is quite a bit larger than the switch itself and is off-centre for the switch.

How about the cases that have swappable action buttons such as rhino shield, phone rebel case? If you just don't install the action button it might work for the silent mode switch.

Because of the phone case is sturdy enough but only made for the iPhone 15 pro model, the phone case is cheaper than a whole new phone.

I read somewhere that the camera on the 15 Pro (Max) is different, so the case for a 14 may not fit well on a 15 as far as camera lens is concerned.

Depending on case material if it has button covering just trim that off so you can access the switch for the 14. Wireless Charing so that won’t matter it’s slightly off, and speakers won’t be affected

Caudabe is actually selling atm the Pro cases with a cutout until they get the button versions figured out. I don't think there's a wrong way of doing it but the button could be triggered accidentally while the cutout requires an intentional push. The 15 pros are a bit smaller while being a bit thicker, imo in order to center the bigger usb-c connector.

Yeah, I’m aware of the first initial Caudabe cases coming out for the 15 Pro models. I think the cases that go with more of an open cutout that allows you to use all the physical buttons would work best BUT I’m much more of a fan of cases that protect the whole borders.

That’s a good question and I’ll be able to answer that question in a few days once I get my actual 15 pro in my hands. I think it will work just fine, because technically the screen size didn’t get bigger just the thinner bezels is the thing that change the most, so depending on what type of temper glass green protector, you have some of them that I’ve seen have the borders that mimic the borders of the phone so if that was the case I wouldn’t recommend it because then it makes the 15 pro look like it has thicker bezels, but if it’s just a traditional just completely clear screen protector, then I think it would work just fine.
