Will Anastasia Become A Disney Princess?

I love Anastasia. When I was a kid, I used to wish that she was an official Disney princess. But now that I'm older and see the way Disney keeps handling their properties these days, I realize that Anastasia is too good to be a Disney princess.

@@nonyabusiness3619 While I'm much warmer to modern Disney, I think the main problem right now is that Disney is so big and they are great at stifling competition. Don Bluth made so many great animated movies and Disney fought hard to bury them. Makes me wish there was a bit more competition out there right now.

I kind of consider Anastasia as a None Disney Princess along side Crysta(Ferngully),Odette(Swan Princess,Thumbelina(Don bluth) And Lady Amalthea(The Last Unicorn)!

I will love to see Odette, Anastasia ,Megara, Giselle, Anna and Elsa becoming Disney princesses because there are just 12 Snow white, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida and Moana so I Just imagine to see a lot of disney princesses .

Anastasia should be an official Disney princess. From what I gathered, she's unofficial for now. If anything, they can just bring the movie back in HD or work with the creators of the movie to come up with a deal in catering the movie to the new generation. I also do not understand why Anastasia would have a strike just because it wasn't in the "culture" the same way as Snow White. It's still a movie many remembers and if Disney brings it back on Disney+ with the animated movie, I have no doubt people will subscribe to see that one movie and even introduce new generation to it. Not only that, just because a company stays hush about this doesn't mean it won't happen. Anastasia does not have to be a live-remake movie, so I don't see why it has to be a strike there as well.

Princess Anastasia Romanov should be crowned as an official Disney Princess. Disney may not have plans of making Anastasia a Disney Princess, but I'm hoping that in the future, Anastasia will finally become an official Disney Princess and make her debut at Disney World and Disneyland. Princess Anastasia Romanov is my absolute favorite Disney Princess!

What about the Broadway musical Anastasia, which is based off of the film? I have also heard a reason why Anastasia is not a Disney Princess is because Disney doesn't want to explain the actual history of what happened to the real Anastasia, as the film came out before the forensic evidence revealed that Anastasia was murdered along with the rest of her family in 1918.

I'd love to get to see the Broadway musical sometime. As for being problematic historically, that could definitely be a contributing factor, although I would think Pocahontas would be even more problematic for them.

@@FreeformDisney Well, Pocahontas' story is also not a happily ever after, but she wasn't led into a basement, brutally murdered, and her body wasn't chopped up, soaked in acid or burned, and left in a pit in Siberia.

I don't see any reason why that would even be the case. Disney did the same thing of changing up history in the movies such as Pocahantas and Mulan on top of changing from the original stories which is more dark such as Frozen and Pinocchio.

You know who doesn’t get to have a say in this conversation? Anastasia. Because she was a real person who was murdered and it wasn’t that long ago. I dunno it really annoys me how much people are arguing over whether or not the drawn frames pieced together to represent movement are being represented by one brand or the other. There was a real historical event. Real lives.
