In only 24 hours of fighting, Azerbaijan has changed the facts on the ground in Nagorno-Karabakh.
A new ceasefire with ethnic Armenian groups appears to put the country's forces in full control of the region.
Azerbaijan and Armenia have battled over the enclave for decades.
But this time, Armenia kept out of the fighting - leaving ethnic Armenian groups in the region to fend for themselves.
In the coming months, the future of those groups will be decided along with their integration into the Azerbaijani state.
So is this the end of this decades-long conflict?

Nikol Pashinyan realized this and this time didn't send Armenian troops to their deaths on internationally recognized Azerbaijan soil. Let's not forget, that this conflict was started in 1988, when Azerbaijan started pogroms and against its own citizens in Sumgait and Baku, when mobs of ethnic Azerbaijanis formed into groups and attacked and killed Armenians on the streets and in their apartments; widespread looting and a general lack of concern from police officers allowed the violence to continue for three days. Armenians had no choice to remain as citizens of Azerbaijan where they were and will be killed due to their ethnic origin. How they can be sure that this will not start again?

Why? The american diplomat sounds reasonable and supported Azerbaijani side. He even welcomed that the armenian militia is now disarmed and is also stating the correct status of the russian military peacekeepers. Armenia had all this years the upper hand and the chance to come to favorable terms for a stable peace. They blew it. Azerbaijan just did what should be. It's called anti-terror inside Azerbaijan. Because of Russian peacekeepers' mistake there were still Armenian separatist military groups inside Azerbaijan, Karabakh and these separatists are included PKK groups and mostly Iraq, Syrian and local Armenians, who fight against Azerbaijan and there were also no left so much local soldiers in Armenian side in the second Karabakh war, that also makes question that from where they find someone to fight. Armenian separatist and citizens must be thankful Azerbaijan because they didn't do same as Armenians did to Azerbaijani people in Karabakh in 1992. At least they can easily leave Karabakh but in 1992 no one gave a chance to rescue Azerbaijani people from there and that's why some of them passed away during escaping and the rest of them left Karabakh through forest in the cold days. So if local Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians want to live peacefully, they either accept or accept being loyal to Azerbaijani citizenship and constitution!
