Instead of a script, it's more of a schedule of things to do during the filming. The directors may want certain reaction from the kids and put them in various situations. Like William's birthday or the class with the mean teacher.

I think it is not scripted in a way that the kids memorize their lines because obviously most of them do not even know how to read yet but I think that they have a scenario plan-like for them to know the sequence of the episode.
