Are we seeing a slow bleed from BTC into BCH ? BCH is up about 300% in one year, over twice as much as BTC.. An ETF is not a Bitcoin.....buying ETFs will not raise BTCs price....that's why the price is shit

You are incorrect. The ETFs buy Bitcoin relative to the amount of ETF shares purchased....so yes it will increase the price of Bitcoin. In fact it has. When the US ETFs launched Bitcoin price was $44k a coin. Today it's $61k. That's a 38% gain in what's been 4 months, all attributable to the launch of the ETFs. It actually even dipped in correlation to the ETFs because the Grayscale one was losing hundreds of millions of dollars which saw Bitcoin actually go down to about $38k after the ETF launched initially.

Buying ETF makes BTC less available and usually ETF buyers are long term buyers so it ll raise the price a lot when demand start growing again

@@gw6056 I cannot because Coinbase is the custodian for the majority of the ETFs. However you can look at the quarterly 13F filings that the SEC require. How do you explain the price of Bitcoin going up 40% in 4 months since the ETFs launched if they're not actually buying Bitcoin? How do you explain Bitcoin hitting an all time high before the halving, which has never happened before?

They say this for years now that Bitcoin is going to $1000000. Like politicians saying something "great" is just around the corner. Same old sh*t story. Many people are probably poor now because of Bitcoin, especially in the poorer countries ($1 = 18,5 zar). It seems it's more and more a game for the already rich as it always is, not for us the small investor. The tragedy is, there's no alternative.

@@michaelds948 Masses of people aren't lucky as you are, to be able to analyse markets. Many are struggling working daily and don't have time, energy and tools left to study markets. Some are influenced by KZbinrs etc to make decisions, which may not pan out. Buy, buy, buy and sell, sell, sell - then you discover you've bought near the peak and sell near the bottom. After having been waiting for a long time, some need cash off their capital invested, selling at a low Bitcoin price.
