Hey! Nice video! If i can give you a tip invest 5-10 bucks in a stanley razor edge scraper (or other brand) it makes it soooooo much easier to remove prints from the plate and because its so scharp and thin it doesnt damage models that you print flay on the plate like bases. Im suoer amazed at the difference. Rhats quality of life my friend👌

I think you'll love a Wham Bam flex plate for removing prints in the future! I swear by mine and hardly ever have to use my scraper anymore

WhamBam (and other large format flexible plates) are a lifesaver! My Saturn prints better with it, and my Jupiter experienced similar issues compared with your experience. The WhamBam allows for both the lower initial exposure time and the quick swap out of the plate. I’m not yet playing with contrast (and speed paints), but your process makes it looks easy. Unfortunately, that model isn’t finished Until the base is…. Homemade mud and turf makes a quick finish for your world terrain of choice! Keep it up!

Same here! I originally tried buying them but it quickly piled up on expenses. I got a resin 3D printer and took on some commission 3D printed models and the such, etc, (paid for the printer and resin) and now I'm just planning on printing DKoK until I run out of resin (I got 3 liters roughly leftover). A side project I've been working on for TOO LONG at this point however, is a PLA 3D printed Warlord Titan on my trusty old Ender 3... I will hopefully finish that by the end of February lol

Thanks a lot! Pro: it is very fast and you can achieve very good shading and hilights with very little effort. Con: it is harder to fix mistakes, and you need to move fast with contrast paint as they dry oddly.

Another suggestion would be to make sure that the rafts (the flat base part of the supports) are all overlapping. Not only is there the chance of getting more minis on the plate, but once you have started removing the mass, the rest will follow. Flex plates are a bit tricky to deal with. There's a very good chance that you would have to add a spacer to a specific mechanical sensor that tells the printer where the build plate is.

@@FacilityD20 It is nice when 2 guys do have the same idea while not knowing one of the other :) . And both have much different miniatures, which makes it a wider choice if anyone wants to do a cadia army. I actually was printing the models he did and I was going to do a full cadia 3d printed army... did tried and adjusted the scale on them... until... I saw death korps of Krieg... I have a Creality LD-002R, tested on it on max res, waiting for the anycubic mono 4k to arrive... As I do want to use them in tournaments (or have the possibility to do so...) I'll probably endup drawing them myself. For the vehicles, fusion 360. For the "persons", probably will use my old license of Cinema4d. That has a feature that allows to create persons and animate them. will probably be faster to do multiposes ;) And... as I design and print them myself, its tournament legal.

@colouredIncognito Yes, because the Kaledon Fortis models very closely resemble cadians… right? Are you blind? Stupid? A little of both? The tank is very close but neither the troopers or the sentinel are even close to GW. The weapon platforms don’t count, all of those weapon designs are historically inspired. I can’t rip off history and then call it my own invention, can I? In fact the Print minis ones are more unique and different than the warhammer ones.
