I know its plat, but i'm plat and I just watched a terran player with 3 command centers build either 0 or 1 scv at a time for several minutes in a row (in the 5-8 minute range). The planetary builds SCVs too, use what you have!!!!

You can also clearly see who has been cheesing their way up to plat, even tho play players are trash in general. I've seen master players play like a silver, another cheeser who lucked their way up the ladder.

Jeff. Adam. I've been a viewer for a long, longggg time. For the countless hours I've put in watching you, day9, pro tourneys... I have, maybe, 10 whole hours in SC2. What resources would you suggest to learn the basics? How many workers to saturate, wall off strats, how to do worker surrounds, etc. I don't comment often, but been a fan for well over a decade. Thanks for quality content!

First, decide which race you think is the coolest. Go with that. As for workers theres a checkbox in the options to show you worker saturation. It goes red at 16. Which is to say, 2 per mineral patch. It's not entirely true but you can use that as a baseline. 3 per gas. Walls are to block Zerglings an Adepti (and kind of hellions/widow mines just walking in). It's not something to consider all too much otherwise. If you make one, just leave one square so your units can get in and out and block it off with a unit of your own, if you're Protoss. Zerg don't make walls except in niche circumstances. Terran just builds a either 1 engineering bay, 1 or 2 barracks, and 1-2 supply depots, because the depots can go underground by default. So that walls them off. As Day9 says, probes and pylons. Always be building your workers and your supply structure/overlord. If you're wondering about a max, 66 workers is a good number and you can go from there. Super late game you actually start sacrificing workers sometimes too. So, pick a race, and we can go from there because it's too much info to go over for each race.

Hey, not sure if you're still looking for videos to learn the basics, but Vibe and Pig both have series where they go from Bronze to GM in which they really stress the basics. I personally enjoyed Vibe more because he is very macro-focused and I enjoy that playstyle a lot, but both are great. Just Google Vibe BTGM and check the videos that cover your favorite race. HF!

It's probably just a bad read on JungleBalls' part. As a low leaguer myself, I have my fair share of early ggs just because I felt like my army got outmatched but because of the lack of scouting and also not knowing what I'm looking at when I do scout, I often call it quits myself without knowing that I'm way ahead in economy.

I think the early gg is coming from a cheeser that wants most games over in under 10 minutes and just doesn't want to fight on for maybe another half hour if he's not already in a clearly winning position. So not a bad read that he's losing per se, just that he doesn't have a decisive path to victory in a timeframe he's comfortable with.
