It is and everyone at this level of car audio already knows this. I'm not even near this level and I already know this. At a certain DB level, it takes far more power to start gaining each DB. The 3db rule has always been a general rule of thumb for daily driver everyday systems and everybody remotely in to car audio should already know this also.
