I was trying to think what this reminded me of, then I walked into my 2 year old sons bedroom and saw his Ferrari toddler bed which is basically a Ferrari outline with a massive hole in the middle where the mattress sits and no roof. At that point I realised where Richard got his inspiration from.

Once you buy the car, I’m not so sure Ferrari cares. I think they’re more concerned with protecting their trademark, copyright and any IP. You screw the with the logo, sure…..but u make a testarossa into a Tesla, no biggie. Car looks amazing. Gas monkey did a fantastic job.

@@zk9058 you dont "Buy" a ferrari. you are essentially "leasing it" any "Unauthorized changes" to a Ferrari will result in a few letters of a cease and desist letters, and in extreme cases the vin completly removed from the ferrari database and ferrari denying or even aknowleding a car that WAS a ferrari still a ferrari.

@@el.G. If people seriously think that the Trillion dollar oil/fuel industry is going to let EV's replace combustion cars, they are VERY much mistaken. Porsche is working on a new fuel and we already have LPG and E85. What I do see happening is all cars becoming HYBRIDS. That allows electric zero emissions around towns and cities and on long journeys, petrol/diesel engines taking the rest with existing petrol stations in place.

Great video, however,.... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and hopefully I don't have to behold that car again. Aside from Ferrari, they need to be wary of Delta issuing a cease and desist for making something similar to a race car bed. On a more serious note, imo anyway, its whoever owns the cars right to do as they see fit with it. If Ferrari wants to control what others do with the cars, then it needs to be in a contract with the car owner. If it would even be enforceable.

They do have the right it's written with in every sale's invoice of every car they sell. Also they have won every case that's gone to court as they take it to European Court. You got to think on some of their car's they don't even let you take it home after purchasing it, they will deliver it to you when you want to driver it and return it back to Italy and that's with in the contract that people agree to. Ferrari hold a lot of power within the EU

@@chriscollins550 Yeah, the special edition track cars, and maybe new ones from an official dealership, maybe even some used ones from an official dealership can have some sort of contract. However, as to how binding those contracts are, the Ford GT was supposed to have some sort of contract about selling it. Which was promptly used as toilet paper be some of the purchasers. But cars sold on the second market, cars sold as salvage, Ferrari has no right to say anything about them. Recently, from what I understand, the lady, whatever her name is, involved in the Eleanor mustang rights debacle lost her case, twice, I think. Not sure if all of the people she screwed over, B is for Build being one of them, have any rights to sue her for damages or not. How the EU handles it is up to them, but different laws in different places. If Ferrari wants that much control, stop selling them, buy all of them back and start leasing them.

@Mandurath the B is for build case was totally different as that was a movie car replica on images rights and yes she did lose that case as the eloner had many different variations over few different film's. In the Ferrari case they own the rights to it's design and therefore just like music copyright law's come into place and they have won every case they have put a ceased and deceased on, that includes part's and services they can refuse. Now if some remove all badges and the Ferrari name of the car after doing custom body work then that's the loop hole as they are no longer calling it a Ferrari. Also any famous or film even influencer uses the Ferrari platform and customise it to make mony then Ferrari and ownership of design can send a ceased and deceased in place and also refuse them any rights to ownership sale's or part's and services. Like I said the European law has back Ferrari up on this and like I said they have won every case.
