I imagine he was an influence as well. That anchor worked with Jessica Savitch who also worked with another gentleman by the name of "Ron" with a deep red (burgundy?) blazer and a mustache. I was watching an old doc on Miss Savitch (RIP) and as soon Mort Crimm introduced and described his own personality/ reaction to her joining the station, I thought "Burgundy, you son of b!#$h!! There you are!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
