It's going to be near impossible to find a "leading" flerf to go. None of the popular flerfs want to lose their grift or their creds. Jaran is probably a good choice if he agrees. He already proved the globe once with his lake expiriment, so why not do it a second time? He at least seems honest enough(relatively) to admit what he sees when he goes. Although, he seemed to dismiss his own findings out of hand and did the absolute non-scientific thing and refused to repeat his "failed" expiriment. Its hard to dismiss 24 hour sunlight though. So based on what I have seen, the FE's want to go, but only under their conditions. It seems as though they want to be able to go when they can lie about locations, results, etc. A prime example is the Behind the Curve movie. Bob tested with a gyroscope, didnt like the result, said he wanted to figure out a way to spin it so it doesnt say what it says, tried it again in a stricter environment and got the same globe-supporting result, then had a non-observed test that suddenly supported his belief. And it was THAT one that was correct. I predict that 0 flat earthers have the balls to accept the invitation. Although, by saying no, they are proving the globe. If it was flat, then this is a prime opportunity to prove it.

That this whole offer was all to assass*nate him or Witsit on the trip and make it look like as accident. He said this several times throughout the beginning 45 minutes that I watched. (I still haven’t finished it.) He completely disgusted me. They will go to any length, accuse others without evidence of horrible things, etc., just to keep up their grift. I haven’t watched Jeranism until that episode other than seeing him as a moderator for debates, so I personally don’t know if he truly believes in flat earth or not. But if he does then that statement shows how narcissistic he is to think he is that feared by globe earthers. It’s just a ridiculous excuse when all is said but his mindless followers believe it anyway. Oh and cherry on top, before the accusations started coming out of his mouth he was first whining about them (Will) not paying for an appropriate wardrobe for the very expensive, fully paid for, trip to Antarctica. Then the personal harm accusations came after that. If you truly believed someone was going to off you, would the worry or thought of paying for your excursion gear even enter your mind at all? Hell no it wouldn’t. Not that it was needed, but that is also evidence for me that he is full of shite. I also remember 7 years ago he decided to model the 2017 solar eclipse live during a stream using the globe model from scratch using some astronomy simulator because flat earthers back then were making the ludricous argumen that “If the sun and moon move east to west in the sky then why does the eclipse go from west to east”. Well lo and behold he modeled it and proved and admitted that the eclipse works perfectly on the globe. He spun it as though “the eclipse moving W to E doesn’t disprove the globe” I remember thinking wow he may be a flat earther but at least he’s an honest flat earther. So many times he’s single handed proven the earth is a globe and I’ve just assumed it’s just Jeran being Jeran. But now, with TFE he has shown his true colors by jumping on the character assasination of Will Duffy band wagon. I now believe 100% he is a grifter, and just like the others is deeply concerned about this whole thing. Yes, they’ll try to discredit the whole thing once it’s all said and done, but it’s going to be very hard even for their small gullible audience to continue to take them seriously. There is no speculation required why hes declining. On his last posted video (titled 'French student wants to do a paper on flat earth') someone asked him directly why. His reasoning was weak and mirrors what you are saying here. He doesn't deal with liars (yet by going he could actually prove they were lying). He's worried the trip wouldn't occur because the host's credit card would be declined which could easily be dealt with by a ticket before he left, and finally the trip is unnecessary b/c all you need is a 24 your webcam on Antarctica which would prove it's flat - which doesn't bode well that his claims that the years of footage shot from orbit proving it's a glove shouldn't be believed. I pointed this out as a reply to his comment and asked him to consider that by declining any credibility he thinks he may have goes out the window, forever. Curious to see how he responds or if he even leaves my comment up without deleting it.

I can't say I'm surprised by this. There was no way he's ever going to take part in something that will fully expose him a being wrong, and ruin his grift. I have one question re the final experiment: what is the chance that where and when you plan to go sky will be cloudless for 24 hours? Cloud cover will give flat earthers excuse to claim that the Sun was actually not visible.

They'll be there for a week. That should increase their chance to see the sun for a full 24 hours, but there's no guarantee of course. But you don't need a completely clear sky. A small cloud here and there shouldn't invalidate the whole thing. As long as they don't see it dip below the horizon, it's conclusive.

As much as I love this idea to stop the ridiculous stuff happening, I doubt many KZbinrs from either side will actually want to participate. Because it will destroy their livelihood. I am totally understanding of any person who, for other commitments, cannot accept this trip, either at their own expense, or when offered for free. Life places other demands upon us, regardless of what interesting adventures we might want to take part in. But that response by Dave Weiss was nothing like that. He did exactly what was expected of him - he concocted an excuse that his followers might accept. I cannot say for certain the Weiss knows this planet is a globe, but at this point he seems to be waddling and quacking a lot; so the evidence favours him being a duck.

I agree with most of what you said, except that there's no reason to decline an all expenses included free ticket to antarctica 7 months from now. None. Anything you got going on can be rescheduled. Heck, I would even quit my job if they would refuse to give me time off for that period.

It brings home to me how opportunities do not always arrive at a time when you can accept them. 🤔 Not that I think this is behind either of the flat earth refusals we know about. Lying about the shape of the earth and spamming his app is his only source of revenue. It's all he has. If he is faced with the reality of the factual earth he'll do one of 2 things: He'll claim he was drugged and/or it was all a hologram, how he wasn't axctually taken to Antarctica and it was a sound stage somewhere cold. Or 2.... No, he'll just do the first thing. But as admirable as your efforts are, taking one Flerfer to the south pole won't change a thing. no matter how influential they are. They're the least cohesive group imaginable, and still cannot decide on a single flat earth model that explains everything a globe does. But good luck, and wrap up warm.
