I'm so grateful that my Dad knocked some sense into me when I was younger. I went through a roller coaster of experiences in life whether they were good or bad because then I will look back on day and remember all those good and bad times with a smile on my face while every other kid born with an ipad will just remember how depressing their early life was. Okay, let me just say this. I am a person from "Gen Alpha" and not all kids are like this. I go to a very advanced school and I read at an late 8th grade level. I have never watched brainrot and I don't understand the appeal of it.

I very much agree with you in this topic. While I am not going to specify my age,the people in my school are Generation Alpha like me and while they do know about brainrot and do laugh at it. But at the very least even the worst performing students are a little below the grade level but they can at the very least read and wrirte properly,but this is my country but The United States? Sadly,I cannot say the same. Even though our generation is near doomed,not all of us are....sane. as an 09 gen z, im honestly terrified...I've alr seen how most of my peers act, as well as my juniors. i really do hope that gen z would be able to guide gen A and B. we're the last ones who has actually grown up with minimal internet. i honestly dont really like AI. sometimes i use it for ideas and build it from there myself. but most of the time i really dont like reading their responses, its feels super uncanny. prob the reason why i like reading forums where actual people type in discussions and their opinions not being able to tell the difference between real and fake, the line between reality and fiction blurring...seems like sci fi dystopian movies are finally coming to reality. imagine a future with no creativity, passions, dreams, forgotten history, no music, songs, stories, genuine human discussions. i alr know so many people around my age who are absolutely clueless in what they want to do and are just floating around. i only have like maybe 3-4 friends who are somewhat like me. its disappointing when i meet a new person and become friends with them, only to find out they're the exact carbon copy of social media :( i also admit i have difficulty trying to stay away from my devices and end up wasting a lot of time. everytime i feel like just using my phone i immediately tell myself to keep it away and go talk to people, do ur work. even tho ik its unhelpful, i still get sucked in. even adults who have lived a completely different childhood get addicted. its honestly a drug. if im already facing much difficulty, i wonder if there's any way for those kids to snap out of it. maybe 0.1% will. but those would most likely rule the world and come up with even more ways to control the remaining 99.9% of people around the world, making it harder to escape the grasp. a truly dark future indeed...watching all this unfold over the next 20 years will be like a fever dream, a movie scene. i think the older ones really have to step up and enlighten the younger ones, im trying to do that with my juniors too

Heck, even other jobs involving computing, statistics, engineering, planning etcetera would get replaced by AI.
