It has changed. It given out more in the way of food stamps, free health care cards, checks, rent vouchers, etc. It has taken many excessive new forms. I walk out anywhere says don't take cash.

I find the thought of being tracked with everything I buy pretty unnerving. If I trusted my government that might be different, but I really don't. Gold and silver are not investments. They are commodities and they happen to retain their value extraordinarily well. Even if we go full CBDC (doubtful), you'll still be able to buy and sell gold and silver, just like you can buy or sell any other commodity.

I would say as far as government payouts go, they're already transferring money digitally, Social Security, Food Stamps,Tax Refunds ect, ect. I have no desire for a CBDC what so ever 🧟‍♂️

Cash slows things down...... validation is manual and slow. This alone will push Digital further. I do not discount the possibility of a gold backing for the new digital tokens.

We often misrepresent gold/silver as "money", when it's really just a store of wealth because our monetary system is based on fiat currency, not commodity currency or representative currency. No one in their right mind would use a American Eagle's buy a $50 bag of groceries, even though that's its face value. Gold it is currently virtually useless as money but arguably one of the best long-term stores of wealth. The entire monetary system would have to completely revert for gold be "good money" again. And even then it would be too valuable for most day-to-day purchases.

online money still not cbdc. online money still backed by fiat. traceability yes, but since it is on different platforms, syncronization of data is difficult to do. as long as we still hold paper cash, we has some privacy. if you look further than money, other information about us now being centralized in an apps. digital ID, address, medical records, jobs, roadtax, taxes, salary, position.. more to be centralized; asset, bank account (cbdc), once they successfully phase out fiat paper funny money, we formally entering digital currency aka total control aka end game.

I love them all, I have gold and silver and on crypto I have all in XRP XLM and XDC. That is the trinity of digital currency. They are all UTILITY tokens, with serious companies behind and are bridges to move value. XRP will explode soon, Ripple is winning the case despite they don't even need to because XRP infrastructure to move money by institutions is already in place. The future generations will find hard to believe the sudden skyrocket in price to the moon. The asset token needs to be agreed on price since the supply is limited and needs to match the world currency liabilities. Hence, just like gold, the price will be set super high, it has been chosen and when the switch is turned and money starts moving it will explode. So yes, gold and a lot of silver for those things you want to pay that gold is not practical, like a tank of gas or milk and eggs, but crypto by all means so that when the dollar collapses SOON, we would have something good to use anywhere.
