Temple-mosque; mosque-temple. The Kashi Vishwanath temple and Gyanvapi mosque are testimony to Indian history, which is full of conversions and restorations of holy places. But the Places of Worship Act 1991 stands in the way and blocks the endless cycle. But how strong is it and will it hold?

@@Bhaweshkumarsingh I think you missed the point of the video. It's no secret that Aurangzeb was a barbarian who razed temples and built mosques over them. The issue is that today, we somehow want to take revenge today, over what people did 500 years ago. I think Bisbo said it best when he said that instead of politicising this issue, it's best left to an entirely secular body which would consider the arguments from all religions to give an unbiased judgement on this. Secularism is what is required to sort out these issues

@@ebrahimm7266 no, issue today is that ashrafs in India thinks orangzeb as their father thus they don't want to correct the past mistakes. Even after knowing what orangzeb did, why ashrafs find it difficult to do the right thing & hand over Hindu places of worship? Maybe they think it's jihad against Hindus.

These are like mecca medina of hinduism . Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj shall be the inspiration for us. He destroyed those mosques which were built upon temples. He forced demolition of mosques whose maulanas were spreading anti-Hindu hatred. He commissioned a Rajvyavaharkosh, and made Sanskrit and Marathi the official languages of his kingdom. He strictly acted against Urdu, Arabic or Persian words, and coined a Sanskrit Royal seal for himself. His son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was also an excellent Sanskrit poet, who composed 'Buddbhushanam'. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj organized State-sponsored reversion for those Dharmics who were converted to Islam. One of his own Senapati is a prime example. Later, the Peshwas, Prime Ministers of the Chhatrapatis, continued the legacy of the same. Sanskrit was re-established as the National language for governance. Peshwa Thorle Bajirao aimed at revival of the Hinduness, and destroyed the Mughal Empire once and for all. His sons and nephew saved our country from an Afghan invasion as well. Peshwa Chimmaji Appa liberated Mumbai, Vasai, Thane and Konkan from the clutches of the Portuguese. Peshwas, Holkars, etc have rebuilt hundreds of Hindu temples, and provided grants and protection to innumerable Sadhus, Sants and Gurus. Peshwa Nanasaheb and Rani Ahilyabai Holkar's contribution was admirable. Ahilyabai was an iron lady! Dear people, what you saw above, is the real definition of secularism. Hinduism is NOT meant to Tolerate. We believe in Mutual respect, not tolerance. Har Har Mahadev!

Everything else is good and I agree but imposing either Marathi or Sanskrit on everyone is not a good idea. If you wish to make other people mother tongue as unofficial then why keep Marathi as official?? And rulers like him failed for this reason only. The people living in Other places felt as if such rulers would conquer them and run over their people. Even Hindus of other states might not support him due to such policies. And also final point is that if we try to remove someones language it also implies that you are trying to remove their culture and tradition and way of life. The best connection to the original way of life is your original language (mother tongue). And bec of such fears only south India remains apprehensive of Delhi government. India is so sweet bec of its diversity and theres absolutely no reason to believe whatsoever that marathi culture is superior or better than Gujarati, Rajasthani, Tamil, or any other for that matter. Pl note that I don't have any issue with sanskrit being given prominence
@_Mohit_Joshi
@_Mohit_Joshi 2 жыл бұрын
@@hetanshthakore5886 Sir, no one imposed Marathi. It was only encouraged, and used for government services. That's all. The subjects were free to converse in whatever they wish. Similar to how Hindi is the de-facto Link Language of the nation today. The Central Government proceedings, as well as Centre-to-State and State-to-State interactions happen in Hindi mostly. In Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje's era, his kingdom majorly consisted of Marathi speakers, thus official status to Marathi. But, there were translators and advocates capable of speaking most languages. So, non-Marathi speakers mustn't have found it difficult. Also, according to documents, the later era Marathas, who expanded into Central and Northern regions also conversed in Hindi, since their subjects were now majorly Hindi. For example, Holkars, Shindes, etc ruled over Hindi populations. However, royal patronage remained to Sanskrit. But never an imposition. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chh. Shivaji's son, had exemplary education in English, Portuguese, Urdu, Persian, Braj, Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit and so on. He knew the languages of his dharma, of his people and of his enemies as well.
@hetanshthakore5886
@hetanshthakore5886 2 жыл бұрын
@@_Mohit_Joshi Well I think the de-facto linking language of India today is English due to Major parts of India not knowing Hindi and because of this reason only there isn't any official language in India. I think that the Marathi rules also shouldn't give prominence or encourage (not talking about imposition which I understood was not being done by them) any 1 particular local language over others as it might create a sense of disunity and insecurity in other people(non marathi people minds). They might have probably done like current India wherein they shouldn't have declared any 1 particular language as official and should have either declared all languages as official languages or none or make only sanskrit as the official language(due to its historical and spiritual significance) to maintain a sense of belonging of all people in the empire . They might use Marathi to communicate as they are more comfortable with it. No problems if they do so. They just shouldn't have declared Marathi as official language when a super majority of Indians dont know it. In Today's time Bihari's, Uttar pradeshites, Gujaratis, Tamilians and many other communities would not like to live under Marathi rule(unless and only if the person is really good, virtuous and respectful like Shivaji Maharaj) due to hyper nationalism and a sense of artificial supremacy paraded by them (talking about Shiv sena and their campaigns which are infamous). Such people forget that it was the blood and sweat of Gujaratis who built both Mumbai and Karachi and then insult and dehumanize only such Gujaratis. Most of the markets brc of which Mumbai became the economic capital of India were run by just Gujaratis and probably Sindhis and Marwaris too and Marathis had a very little role in such businesses. Yet when it comes to acknowledging who did the greatest heavylifting (obv only in their self interests) they start acting like jerks and try to claim all the good things done by everyone in their state as something happening just due to their god given Superiority(I have seen such fake pretentious superiority in Bengalis also but thats another topic all together). It it's just things like this which have prevented India being ruled unitedly under a strong local ruler. The foreigners survived in India not bec of their skills or their great administration being liked by everyone but due to the fact that majority of Indians didn't wamt rule of a local ruler from another culture/State who would not care about them too much. Very much essential to the survival of India as we see today is that this level of federalism, and power of self governance is kept with the states. Otherwise I being a proud India will have to say with a heavy heart that India might not survive and may get Balkanized. India is neither as heterogeneous as EU nor as homogenous as US and so you can't either run India like the US(which the BJP government is wishing to do with it's centralization policies like one nation one _____ ) nor like EU (which almost all previous admins used to run like). There must be a middle ground preferable and liked by all with all liking the ruler and none feeling betrayed or insecure abt being under the rule of a person from another place PS don't say that I meant that people didn't like Shivaji maharaj or I didnt like him. It's just that I disliked his policy of making Marathi an official language which most people even in today's era will do if current official lang is turned to Gujarati due to current PM and HM being from Gujarat :)

Contrary to popular perception, Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa is a massive failure. Black majority in Africa still bear resentment towards white and now even Indian minorities. Increasingly white people are losing their lands in land distribution and they are emigrating to West, while the poverty in which black people live never went away. This still results in sporadic rioting. Black people still think that such Commissions are a hogwash and they still are reminded of Apartheid and servitude when they see whites still being more prosperous. And with more revelations coming out about apartheid era atrocities, anger only mounted. Hence the continuation of resentment. While white minority still wants some hold on their monopolies but also feeling that they are unfairly targeted for their ancestors' crimes. Politicians from both side love perpetuating this, especially made easier with high degree of corruption and crime. In societies which have complicated pasts and corruption, such commissions are also bound to fail. It will not succeed in India.

Good Video @bisbo, loved it, keep it up. One more thing that the BJP and Hindutva groups does not know is that Aurangzeb did not destroy all the temples. If his goal and motto was to destroy all the temples, then today there would not be any temples seen. As also said in the video, Aurangzeb also built the temples for Brahmin community and for those brahmans who had worked in his courts and had given land for them to practice their religion, it was only those that were against Aurangzeb and were revolting against him siding with the Marathas, he went and destroyed their properties and temples. The same thing happens today in India, if one raises their voice against the BJP Government Or speaks against the hate and lies spread by BJP IT Cell and those who expose their lies, they destroy the houses of the people with the bulldozers. Those minority community that protests against the harassment of their religion on the news media channels 24x7 and on the social media that spreads hate against them , those houses are destroyed and are labelled them as Terrorists or Urban naxals Or an IT Raid or ED Raid is carried out on them. Then what is the difference between Aurangzeb and BJP and BJP and the British, since all 3 of them are doing the same thing - they are destroying the houses of people and their properties and their places of worship because they do not agree with the Government policies or their decisions. These things the Hindutva Groups, BJP and RSS do not want to tell to the people of India and to it's Andh Bhakth followers because they know very well if people come to know this, they will lose their followers and their very existence and the power to rule the country according to their wish and according to their wicked ideology. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/aurangzeb-gave-temples-grants-land-historian/articleshow/48940506.cms

@@stormtroopers7949 Who says we guys attribute to the British ? What was the ancient history of India and of the world? Do you have any idea? Every king who ruled any country, be it of any religion only looked after their empire and wanted to expand their empire by hook or by crook. They were never United, their empire and their expansive ambition was their ultimate goal. We can look any chapters of the history, this will be the main reason. Why World War 1 and World War 2 happened? It was due to the expansionist policy of the countries - especially Germany. Due to this individual empire lookout and self expansionist ambition by several kings in India, India was never United. The kings fought against other kings. Even the Rajputs fought against the Marathas and there are several such battles - treachery, deceit and bloodshed to expand one's empire was the motto of every King in India. There was no fight for religion in ancient history. India only got United in the freedom struggle where people irrespective of religion, caste and creed came out courageously to fight and to give lives for the nation - this is where the strength of India lies. This made the British very difficult to rule our country where the unity among the people was hard to break. Then came the Divide and Rule policy aimed to divide India. The British took the RSS help and several books of division and hatred were written during the pre independence so that people may read about the half cooked false stories about the other religion and how they caused harm to their religion. This created a rift, hate and enmity between religious communities which also led to the first riots between Hindus and Muslims in the pre-independence period and which also led to the partition of India. The strength of India lies not on PM modi Or fake Hindutva groups or on the ancient culture and temples, the strength of India lies in its diversity and that too, unity in diversity. If any government or any Indian works to break this unity in diversity - in religion, caste or creed, they will put India in serious trouble that will help the outsiders to get an access. A very simple example, see how European Union countries are united, see how the Gulf countries are United - if any if these countries will be harmed , rest all others will stand for them. In India, if we spread hate and enmity and run a campaign on the instructions of the political party or extremist Hindutva groups against other religions, castes and their creed, tomorrow if someone threatens India, will all religions of India stand United? You, as an Indian citizen has to open your eyes and think about it if you really love our country. What are ministers? Who are BJP? Who are they? Do you think they care about their country? They will sell their parents also for votes and will sacrifice their own brothers and sisters to grab a seat and enjoy all the luxuries and comfort in their lives. For their entire life, they will do it - ask them can they go with the Indian Army and ready to take a bullet in their chest, they will never go, instead they will put others forward. What the BJP today is doing is not that they want to recreate history, they want votes. If they really would have cared for country and would have wanted to build India like UAE or Japan or Singapore, they would have talked about the education, healthcare facilities, eradication of poverty and hunger, bringing about economic equality in the country, bringing down inflation, handling unemployment problems. But they will not talk about these issues in any of their funded channels. You see, how Presidential elections happen in United States of America, they do not speak about the past history of America. They speak about what they did when they were in office as the President and the opposite candidate will question the sitting president in open debate what he did not do for the country and when he becomes President, what he will do for the country's development. Here, in India it is opposite, they talk about past history and talk about religion, caste, creed, who is higher caste , who is lower caste, religion appeasement,caste appeasement, India Pakistan, Hindu - muslim, Hindu- Dalit, free gifts in elections, That's it. There is no other issue which will be raised in the elections.

The Buddhist origins of Jagannatha stems from the reliquary worship associated with Jagannatha, a concept integral to Buddhism but alien to Hinduism. For example, there exists an unexamined relic in the Jagannath shrine in Puri,[60] and the local legends state that the shrine relic contains a tooth of the Gautama Buddha - a feature common to many cherished Theravada Buddhist shrines in and outside of India.[24][61] Other legends state that the shrine also contains bones of the human incarnation of the Hindu god Krishna, after he was accidentally killed by a deer hunter. However, in the Hindu tradition, a dead body is cremated, ashes returned to nature, and the mortal remains or bones are not preserved or adored.[62] In Buddhism, preserving skeletal parts such as "Buddha's tooth" or relics of dead saints is a thriving tradition. The existence of these legends, state some scholars such as Stevenson, suggests that Jagannath may have a Buddhist origin.[60] However, this is a weak justification because some other traditions such as those in Jainism and tribal folk religions too have had instances of preserving and venerating relics of the dead.[62] Another evidence that links Jagannath deity to Buddhism is the Ratha-Yatra festival for Jagannath, the stupa-like shape of the temple and a dharmachakra-like discus (chakra) at the top of the spire. The major annual procession festival has many features found in the Mahayana Buddhism traditions.[24] Faxian (c. 400 CE[63]), the ancient Chinese pilgrim and visitor to India wrote about a Buddhist procession in his memoir, and this has very close resemblances with the Jagannath festivities. Further the season in which the Ratha-Yatra festival is observed is about the same time when the historic public processions welcomed Buddhist monks for their temporary, annual monsoon-season retirement.[62][note 2] Another basis for this theory has been the observed mixing of people of Jagannath Hindu tradition contrary to the caste segregation theories popular with colonial era missionaries and Indologists. Since caste barriers never existed among devotees in Jagannath's temple, and Buddhism was believed to have been a religion that rejected caste system, colonial era Indologists and Christian missionaries such as Verrier Elwin suggested that Jagannath must have been a Buddhist deity and the devotees were a caste-rejecting Buddhist community.[54][66] According to Starza, this theory is refuted by the fact that other Indic traditions did not support caste distinctions, such as the Hindu Smarta tradition founded by Adi Shankara, and the traditional feeding of the Hindus together in the region regardless of class, caste or economic condition in the memory of Codaganga.[59] This reconciliation is also weak because Jagannath is venerated by all Hindu sects,[47] not just Vaishnavas or a regional group of Hindus, and Jagannath has a pan-Indian influence.[10][67] The Jagannath temple of Puri has been one of the major pilgrimage destination for Hindus across the Indian subcontinent since about 800 CE.[24] Yet another evidence is that Jagannath is sometimes identified with or substituted for Shakyamuni Buddha, as the ninth avatar of Vishnu by Hindus, when it could have been substituted for any other avatar.[62] Jagannath was worshipped in Puri by the Odias as a form of Shakyamuni Buddha from a long time. Jayadeva, in Gita Govinda also has described Buddha as one among the Dasavatara. Indrabhuti, the ancient Buddhist king, describes Jagannath as a Buddhist deity in Jnanasidhi.[62] Further, as a Buddhist king, Indrabhuti worshipped Jagannath.[68] This is not unique to the coastal state of Odisha, but possibly also influenced Buddhism in Nepal and Tibet. Shakyamuni Buddha is also worshipped as Jagannath in Nepal.[69] This circumstantial evidence has been questioned because the reverent mention of Jagannath in the Indrabhuti text may merely be a coincidental homonym, may indeed refer to Shakyamuni Buddha, because the same name may refer to two different persons or things.[68] Some scholars argue that evidences of Jagannatha's Buddhist nature are found from Medieval Odia Literature. Many medieval Odia poets conceptualized Jagannatha as Shunya Brahman, which is similar to the great void found in Mahayana Buddhist philosophies.[70] Odia poet Sarala Dasa of 15th century in his Mahabharata describes Jagannatha as Buddha

By quoting the example of a few mosques being converted into temples, do you want to equate the hindu persecution? According to Sita Ram Goel's book, there were around 2000 temples been converted into other religions' "worship places", that include the most important spiritual places like Kashi, Mathura, Somnath & Ayodhya, which can be equated to Jerusalem, Mecca, and Medina for other religions. Muslims, Jews, and Christians are not ready to give up their claim for Jerusalem to this date, but what is expected from Hindus is to just forget about there religious places that too in their own country.

you do realise that Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism reject the Vedas, right? And that while most Hindus accept the Vedas, Hinduism is different from the Vedic religion? why would you comment something when you know nothing?

Every mosque in the world is our brother Muslims right, similarly every temple belongs to our Hindus.. We must not fight, rather speak for 10 mins politely and resolve this

What rubbish, it was not built under the patronage of Akbar. It was his minister Todar mal, who at his personal expense rebuilt it.

The constitution of India drafted by Dr. Ambedkar and his team should be respected in its form as it exists today. It is the court that had given the right to build the Ram temple at Ayodhya and anyone who criticizes Judiciary is clearly an Anti- national. If the court accepts the reformation of the 1991 act it shall be welcomed else in all aspects one should never lose faith in Judiciary. Jai Hind.

Reservation system was introduced by him as it was necessary for the upliftment of backward communities who were oppressed for centuries. And yes it can be removed now as it's main purpose has been more or less fullfilled.

Sir, i find the information to be wrong. Sir the worship of shringar gauri use to happen daily till 1990. Post 1990 without any order, Hindus were told to do Pooja only once a year. That is why court said show us the orders that barred Hindus from doing Pooja daily. Hope you would have studied more. Bosbo unsubscribed.
