The piece of leather is a stropping board. After you are done sharpening your blade there will be this burr on the very edge if you feel it or not it's still there. What you do is run the blade backwards against the leather to take that burr off it'll make your edge scary sharp if you do it right

BWCA Boundary Waters Canoe Area. You guys should spend 3-5 days up there canoeing or kayaking and camping and fishing. There’s endless lakes to fish and excellent fishing. I used to go to the gun flint lodge on the gunflint trail every year. It’s awesome up there!

Usually raccoon lure consists of anise oil, some kind of fish meat or blood, and raccoon gland. My dad traps around 200 raccoons a year and he makes his own. I can send a TON if flair tastes it.
