Impossible to overstate how much this song is needed during this moment in our history. Outstanding! I grew up on old country; Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Jim Reeves, Kitty Wells. I supported Bernie Sanders twice in 2016-2020. Can I Be Country Too?? 😎

This is why you (and more people) haven’t found one of the greatest singer-songwriters and performers of the past 30+ years, because ‘corporate’ radio will say his voice has ‘too much country’ for my rock station and country stations say he both leans too much to southern rock as well as not liking his political outspokenness where he leans the ‘wrong’ direction having never taken a dime of NRA Country money and won’t wave a Confederate Flag (see his song ‘Still a Southern Man’). Will makes music that matters to him and that just plain matters. Look into it and then catch him live as he’s amazing and will shake your hand after even, grey musician better guy.

This is an amazing song. Speaks to me as someone who likes the country music sound but doesn’t identify with the usual country stereotypes and 100% does not agree with the right wing politics, divisiveness and bigotry in the space. Thank you for this song Will!

Thanks Will for telling a story that needs to be told. A very wise man once told me "it takes ALL kinds to make a world" and " if we were all alike, the world would be pretty boring and pretty sad". There are plenty of people that love country music but that do not support uber right wing culture, or lack thereof.
