I feel like you misseda big benefit of being a featured server on Bedrock edition; console players. They can't type in server ips manually and can only choose the featured server, and console players are a decent chunk of the players. Other than that, great video! Can't wait for the finale!

@@abatall You can't. Only the mobile and windows 10 versions of bedrock allow that, you can't manually enter a server IP on console versions (Switch, PS, Xbox)

Im very excited to see the finale of this awesome series. Its a question I wouldnt even bother asking myself, seeing as the sales for the game in 2019 surpassed 750 million dollars in its lifetime with 30 million copies sold. But thats nothing compared to the sales of bedrock, and with the stepping stones to bedrock in place such as shifting mc accounts, it might be something thats coming. Cant wait to see your take!

I highly doubt mojang will discontinue the Java edition, considering that it is their most vocal audience, though it would be interesting to theorize what would happen to hypixel if mojang were to go down that route

I think a slight misunderstanding happened while doing research: Minecraft Bedrock Edition does allow for sending messages to one another and even private messages on basically all featured servers, however featured servers do not have /wispher as microsoft/mojang does not want them to have this, probably to protect younger players from things like toxic players and similar stuff

Personally I find it extremely unlikely that Mojang/MS would discontinue Java, given it makes up a large amount of the total Minecraft player base, meaning there would be a lot of angry people if that'd happen. Not to mention it still makes money for them, even though it's not the primary source. If anything, they'd just make it more like bedrock.

Just got around to watching the last two episodes. I stand by what I said in the comment on the first video; this is surprisingly good content, and I’m glad you’ve been rewarded with a sharp rise to 21k subs. Even in just three videos your editing, speaking, and writing show real improvement. I agree with the point at 6:20 especially, looking from Hypixel’s perspective, do they need the extra cash when the cost is a worse overall Java server? The two pieces of feedback I have are that the topics of this video seem to blend into the last, and at least to myself it wasn’t clear what the difference between them were. The other is that, while your shaders are beautiful, your use of visuals could be stronger to help solidify your point. While you did an amazing job that developing arguments and communicating them in words, I felt with the uniformity of the background video the whole way through, it was really easy to get lost in your voice, making it hard to hold the structure of your essay in my head. Having more images that complement what you’re talking about, or having it be when you switch to talking about another theory that a text window comes up so it’s clear when a new point is started would help, but obviously how you execute that would have to be in your personal style. Hopefully that all made sense, but obviously that’s just my opinion. I’ll be sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the finale! Though, secretly I hope you’re wrong, just because I don’t want Java to die :(

I’m looking forward to the finale episode of this series. Like the previous 2, this video was really well done. This showed how different Bedrock Edition is to the Java Edition. A stricter chatting system, and a harder way to communicate with friends. Most notably, the theory that the Java Edition will be shut down. I don’t like the thought of this. I’ve been playing this version of Minecraft for years now. I don’t want it to be discontinued. I really hope that this won’t happen. Overall, really good video.

You forgot some things like they dont need to make a new jar or seperate the servers at all there are something called geysor it makes it so bedrock players can log on to java servers if the server has the plugin that is, and we all know that hypixel is very good at plugins they could easely expand geysor and make it completely compatiple with no lag.

I doubt hypixel would work on bedrock. Hive and cubecraft players wouldn't permanently move, and MCBE is mostly mobile so things like hypixel bridge wouldn't work. It is part of the reason why Nethergames isn't fun if your not on PC is why hypixel wouldnt work well on bedrock

Though there's still a slight possiblity that they will make a bedrock server again, I doubt it because simon would then be in charge of the No.1 Minecraft Server (Java) and Possibly the No.2 bedrock server, And it might be hard considering how popular hypixel is, Sure there are staff but if They partner with Microsoft, then Microsoft will get most of the money from bedrock. And If they do not, They would have to make the sever great or the resources they spent will be all gone.
