Strange that box sizing came into it? I have a Palitoy Vintage Action man boxed training tower, the box and it are absolutely enormous 😂

At the time Star Wars was an untested toy, so thats why toy store owners were hesitant to have a huge toy like that take up so much space and plus it cost a lot to buy wholesale in bulk. So when the Palitoy designers presented the Death Star, they were comfortable taking a risk on those lower cost playsets and toys.

Don't forget the 1978 mail away action display stand. It's actually a playset because you can rotate the figures. 💪😉

Your collection is fantastic and cost you a lot of money. As I mentioned before you are young and have been seeing the prices rise on all vintages Kenner and palitoy. I'm lucky to have what I do from my time growing up and having a few dollars to buy them in the 77- + years

TPC, I really feel for you in your searches, this is the WORST era to buy these things, scalpers are everywhere..the costs are being manipulated by 'investors'...I really fear a bubble, and what can happen when it bursts. I just bought some instruments for Droopy McCool, for $100! This is an insane era. I hope it ends soon.

I don't have the Palitoy Death Star and Droid Factory. I sure would love to have them, but I don't even have a clue how to find them. Maybe you can be our hero on those, Joey. :). I really REALLY have been wanting the Empire Strikes Back Command Center. I know it's the same plastic piece with a different cardboard backdrop BUT it's a collection item. I've found them in the past but always at a time I didn't have the budget. Well the quest for me is still on and you just inspired me to keep looking for the Palitoy Death Star and Droid Factory. Who knows maybe I will find it in some store in France when I am visiting my cousins. :)

Hey Jedi! The best bet is to join Facebook groups and then feel out which ones have the best environments to buy in. I only go to a handful these days and I often call them out in my videos.

Great Video!! The Palitoy Droid factory is a great addition to the run. just remember there are 2 variants to it. The Base comes in 2 colors.. Yellow and Blue. I would also add the Palitoy Creature Cantina to your list as well

Joey, do you know about the cardboard backdrop that came with the department store versions of the Slave I and Darth Vader TIE Fighter? The cardboard backdrop features what looks like an imperial docking bay. The Slave I version is cut down to fit in the box. They are better than the cheap vacu-form plastic of the Palitoy cantina, droid factory, and Land of the Jawas overseas.

I was just thinking about this series the other day. I knew it would be a little bit more difficult to complete than finding all the figures, as some of these playsets are definitely challenging to find in the condition you're looking for in the price range you're hoping for. Really enjoyed recapping all the pieces you've acquired so far and seeing the condition of each that you got as well. Your game is definitely stepping up my friend. As for adding the Palitoy place that versions to your list, I think we had discussed that when you originally put together your goals and rules for this run. But even more impressive is that you got yourself a Palitoy Death Star. That's definitely one of the grail items I'd love to have at some point in my collection as well. I saw that GW/Iains has an amazing acrylic bubble so that you can display it and protect it all at once and it's out of box form. That thing is amazing. Can't wait to see the one that you got. Good luck on the rest of your run. I'll be here for every episode and rooting for you.

I’m like u I started only w the intentions to recollect the vintage SW figs to recard but before u know it I wanted a lose figure set then I started buying play sets and vehicles ,well I’m near done myself and if I didn’t stop to buy some newer retro items along the way like Jabba Sail Barge ,some Bantha’s and retro like Kenner SW figs I would’ve been done much sooner lol.

Best way is to find another Death Star space station that you can buy cheaply for parts, the other harder way, is to search for people selling that part on your own.
