I finally found someone who knows how to stressed out like me. Even in the video I was stressing for you. Just seeing the guy with the attaché case was nerve wrecking. I am in my 70s and failed my one and only driving test when I had youth in my favour but decided that driving was not for me. I have no regrets. I have travelled far and wide by planes trains and automobiles to several countries in four continents. Proud to be a backseat driver.

I passed my first car driving test back 1959 (I've done others in various vehicles including a bus and a three-ton lorry since then) and when one gets to my age, one has to do a mini version when one renews one's licence here in Spain every few years. Wow! Hard to believe it's already been another trip around the sun for Mr. boo and nearly 2 & 1/2 times for Elton, but perhaps it was time to trade him off, but to be brutally frank Tim, if you didn't get a lifetime warranty with Elton's replacement, I'd say you've been taken for a ride. 70 hours to get a French driving license? Does that make the French better than most other drivers? In much less than 70 hours you could get a pilots license or qualify to fly passengers in a747 (scary thought). Hats-Off for sticking with it mate. Anxiously awaiting thenext stage of the adventure!

@@MeandMonAmi 4 to 5 months? Astonishing A few years ago just before lockdowns a retired friend from London offered to sell me two condos he had near Moajicar Spain after he relocated to Thailand. I was ready to buy one he wanted to dump very cheap, but he said: "Mate, in good consience I have to tell you that the further away I am from Euroep and rhe U.K. the better I feel, and I suggest you stay away as well, it's a bureaucratic, social and political nightmare as bad or worse than America and I'd still be there if it were different". So instead I planned to try to retire in a few years to Malaysia, but now that it's a different world in the U.S.. and Maladiysia's major immigration changes, I'm looking back to Europe as an excspe option, and like many I much appreicate you sharing your bureaucratic adventures.

Congrats guys and happy birthday! I'm 34 and have been driving an ami for the last six months (after watching many of your videos!) and am passing the exam tomorrow. Perfect timing this is a nice motivator! Probably get myself a Ferrari too, just have to find myself a similiar trade, no doubt it'll be easy!
