The thing is, you really just need to figure out how to fight and also how to lead bigger groups away and lose them. after this the game isnt hard at all. If you have a melee weapon, just hold down right click and move backwards away from approaching zombies, and whenever one is close hit them with the weapon.

Game options, display, set "aim outline" to any weapon, it helps SO MUCH when fighting zombies lol. You tried to lock a closet door btw 😂😂 Tune into life & living at 12 & 6pm. You're in the same world where you set the fire. You didn't start a new file lol. Game is super fun with friends, especially if they don't tell you they got bit and you hear them die from the bite but it's okay because they closed themselves into the bathroom upstairs lol

I will 100% have to try this new setting! I think combat and seeing who I’m attacking and if I’ll connect properly is my number 1 issue…besides you know…the zombies apocalypse in general being my number 1 issue

This game is absolutely great once you get used to the mechanics. It took me a couple of painfull runs to get used to the combat a bit, than a coulpe more to know how to survive. The trailer explains this process perfectly.

"We're on Apocalypse" "This game is unreasonably hard" What could the correlation be...... Teasing aside, Apocalypse is the hardest difficulty preset in the game, not counting the challenge modes, and it's not exactly noob friendly so I can understand why you struggled as much as you did. Meanwhile, Survivor and Builder sit under it as the game's Medium and Easy presets respectively. Even then, you can go into Custom Sandbox and make the game as easy or as difficult as you want it. One more tidbit I can give is to hover your mouse over items that you might not understand the use of, like certain medicines - a description will usually pop up detailing what it's for. Not always, but usually.

First question. Did you play the Tutorial? It seems you had the basic of the basics. Someone already said something about the outline for any weapon. However best melee combat technique I learned first day was distance testing. One handed short weapons. Half a corpse length. Two handed maybe corpse length to the head. The cursor with the line and circle is best used as a guide for true direction. If you have it as a zombies feet you are are nearly 100% sure to hit of they are in range. This is what I found out without the outline setting. Hopefully you played the tutorial and know about the other setting.

I did read over the beginning tutorial thing it gives you and play a round or two just so I knew it was a game I wanted to play for a video. I also watched some KZbinrs play it so I got some tips from just watching them

@@TheSuitedBird same here. At 42 years old I played some hard games and this brings me back to dome challenges I been wanting and needing. It's one thing for a game to be graphically appealing. It's another to have a game that plays with you a little. Rare that a game effect emotions and has some consequences in a panic mode.

Pay attention to your carry weight, i noticed at the end you had the overweight moodle in deep red meaning you were carrying wayyyyy too much, if it gets that red that means youre slowed down AND your health is slowly decreasing as you walk around, meaning you can die just from walking too much while so overburdened. Something that would help is finding anything you can use as a bag and equipping that to your secondary (or back if possible), like that garbage bag in the trash can you looked in, you can take that and use it to carry things, any container reduces the total weight of whats inside, allowing you to carry more

You clearly didn't do the tutorial since you weren't using the regular hotkeys, ex: E to open doors. I feel like before voicing your opinion you should make sure you know the game you are talking about, you complained that the zombies are hard to kill, did you expect to be able to bare knuckle box a zombie and 1 hit ko it? You just seem like you never even learnt the basics

I actually did go through the tutorial (one of the only games I actually went back and read through because I was confused) I was originally doing the E for the door closing but found it was easier and more consistent for me to do the click thing. Also I didn’t realize for awhile that it matters where you step on a zombie when they are on the ground.
