Israel and Lebanon should have a lot in common. Lebanon is the America of the middle east. Palestinian refugees, Armenian refugees, Syrian refugees, Assyrian refugees, and Druse all find refuge in Lebanon trying to flee where they are from and to find a new life there. In Israel, Jewish refugees and trying to create a home in Israel but are doing it in the worst way possible because of this strange colonial mentality of taking over a land that accepted them and actually pushing out the indigenous population that originally welcomed them in. The above shared character of both Israel and Lebanon should bring these two nations together but Lebanon sees the GENOCIDE in the south and cannot sit back and do nothing like the west. Lebanon chooses to make a stand for the right side of history and for the region. They cannot be blamed for fighting genocide when they see it. Unlike others, it is not in their character.
