Im in the same boat, bringing a 50 model back to life. I think that the electrical is a positive ground system.

Yes sir ... originally I think you are right! However this one has been converted to a 12 volt system sometime thru its life. No generator or voltage regulator just an alternator. And it charges good too. Thanks for watching and good luck with your tractor!!
