That John Deere aka "Popping John" because the way it sounds... My grandfather had one when i was a young boy he used in the garden and to run the big saw mill with occasionally had a long wide belt that went over the drum on the right side of the tractor...

Early 40’s B. 47-52 they had a steel press frame. If he wants to get that carb redone. Let me know. I have a buddy that will send it back to him better than it was new. And tested and tuned before returning.

All old john deere's had 2 cylinder normally aspirated engines, but they were not hit and miss. We all called then jonny poppers.

The John Deere B is a 2 cly they will last for years . As long as you take care of them an keep them clean . When you know there running right they will sit an pop on the 2 cly . They will pull like the big tractors.
