The great granddaddy of my Robin Mk2. These are actually amazing cars, a Regal saloon came second place a couple years back in the cross US Le Mons rally, where basically it had been discovered and in the week before the run fixed up and beating v8's, more modern cars etc with the only issue a burnt out clutch that said robbed of the first place... the car had lived in a bush for 25 years before its run O.o

@@MO3MINI You must be a real nuffy to ask that, how about a wood frame and 3 wheels, if I need to explain further I would simply be wasting my time.
@MO3MINI4 жыл бұрын
Oh come on.. plenty of cars of that era had wooden frames around the body work! And they are actually stable on three wheels. Sure if you chuck it into a corner it’ll cock a wheel off the ground. But they don’t roll like they did in top gear! You know he fitted odd sized tyres and weights to the front to get it to actually roll? If they rolled that easily in real life there would be know way they’d have been allowed to manufacture them for over 50 years! You are no safer in any other classic car let’s be honest. If you have an accident you’re dead. It what makes classic car drivers drive differently. Breaking early. Not speeding. Paying much more attention to the road. If you want to be safe by something brand new.. because if you crash anything older than the early 2000’s there’s a strong chance you ain’t walking out of it! But on that knowledge we should scrap all classics as they are all death traps no?
