Well actually it's not. Your brain will keep firing signals to your heart after it's normal "heart beat" has stopped in order to try and make it start properly again, and these fluttery irregular beats will be picked up on an AED and a shock will be delivered in an attempt to shock it back to a normal rhythm. If your heart has completely stopped dead and there are no fluttery beats then they won't shock you because there's no point. Why do you think paramedics even give CPR rather than just using the defib straight away? We literally just discussed this in my clinical class at nursing the other day so I think the registered nurses who teach me are probably right......

I'm sorry but I think this episode is really fake sorry to say but I'm honestly telling you all why. Firstly I don't think kate died and was badly written. There was no blood or gun holes in her chest and her face was just normal normally a dead person has no life but kate did. Plus they shouldve put her on the ground then the hospital bed. Can't j just carry a dead body like that. She wasn't at all in the hospital and have surgery and she didn't flatlined so not authentic enough. You can't just say she was shot and no blood that makes no sense. The nurses who tried to save her was hopeless and didn't give her CPR so thankyou writers for making us think she died shame on you all. No wonder kym valentine wasn't happy with the show. I love neighbours but think the whole death scene was fake and cruel attentions.
