My experience with them was that they were tough and they did well in mud. Downside was they were so stiff it did affect ride quality and also they had terrible balance and on pavement when you got up to speed they vibrated and shook the handlebars a lot. My Bighorn 2.0's that I went to are just the opposite. Ok at speed, squisy and comfy, do ok in most terrains, have a reputation for not being as tough (although I haven't had any problems yet). The BH's are pricey but I do prefer them at this point.

Great vid.... and yes, 8 ply rated radial is a pretty significant difference. Run em at 4.5 to 5 psi. Great all around tires.

I lost 2 mph on the top speed on my Kodiak 700. Was 65 mph on stock tires, 63 mph on the HTRs. I only drove that fast on a straight asphalt road for testing purposes. Thanks for the testing!

Great video! I swapped out my stock Goodyear wrangler's for the Kenda's on my 2003 sportsman 700. I did loose around 4 mph on top end. The traction gains and ruggedness of the tires are well worth the trade off.

Can you tell me the actual tire widths on these tires? Are they actually 9 inch’s and 11 inches? I’m thinking about going with 26x9x12 all the way around but would like to know the actual widths if they are under or over what is listed on the tire.

@Alex Wright, I am about to order 28” bear claws for my 2020 outlander 850 (not tuned). What size did you get? How do you like them? I’m on hard pack, very rocky trails and the occasional mud on trails (not searching for mud holes)

@@bdeck4368 i did 26" on my 850 and they were taller than my 27" wild thangs. They are a heavy tire so you will feel the difference. I really wouldn't go any more than a 27" if you like to wheelie and show up po-pos

Hey guys thanks for the great video, question , you said you drove on the road , what's the difference in road noise ? Currently running the carlise ACT on my quad and was wondering if the HTR tires are as quiet ( I run it to work 4:30 am ) I've had some some stock tires make an insane amount of noise on the road

Your stated weight differences were wrong. The stock rear weighed 31 lbs.,compared to 48 lbs. for the Bear Claw. That's 17 lbs. heavier, not 7! It will definitely hurt your power.
