I hope Kuta will gain popularity again. No big beach clubs but the old fashioned cozy Kuta with warung ,wartegs locals,tourists ,backpackers etc just chillin

Swastyastu Bli Krisna , It's a part of my routine route from Jimbaran to the Werkudara area office, it's sad indeed, those of us who are very long living in Bali, or especially from Bali, definitely still remember from early 2000 to 2010, Kuta was still the center of the morning, afternoon and even more so at night, apart from Seminyak and Sanur. And yeah, everything has changed since 2011 onwards, especially after the pandemic, the entertainment and shopping business is centered in Canggu. How Double Six, the Camplung street and Padma areas are getting quieter... restaurants and hotels are only visited by certain people who are already regulars there. I understand occupancy because I held digital marketing and content for the Kumala Pantai group. Bli krisna's , proud of you & keep enthusiasm for vlogging , Rahayu Ring Jagad Bali, Om Svaha🙏

Just returned from 2 weeks in Kuta. I felt it was quite busy especially around hardrock/beach area!! Also stayed in Dynasty so many Indian restaurants been built next to each other- I guess they know something about the target audience we don’t 😬

And still nothing happening on Kuta Square, so sad to see. When you know how it used to be, the memories of all the shops doing well, the life on the street and then it just died a fast death after the rise of Canggu. that no long term thinking goes into these areas is mindblowing. There are so many empty stores on Kuta Square, and they are unrentable, all in total disrepair with huge water damage, and they are all 3 floors tall with 100sqm per floor so way too big for new businesses to come in as the owners still demand huge rents... so it will never change like this. they will need to completely flatten this area and rebuild to give it a chance. Amazing there are still traffic jams, only really being caused by traffic going to the direction of Beachwalk

Totally agree, Indian restaurents spreading like a contagion. Clusters of multiple Indian restaurants are forming down near Lippi mall area. Each playing competing shrill Indian music. Not pleasant or relaxing.

I think that part of the beach is so busy because people can't see the beach from their hotel. And also, the Bintang will be cheaper than in their hotel.
