I love the knowledge bombs Brad has been dropping in the beginning of videos. Even if you aren't on tour and bowling on these crazy patters, a lot of what he says still applies to really any scenario

My #1 embarrassing bowling moment... 🤦🏼♀️ High school state finals bowling on live tv for the first time ever. I doubled in the 10th to secure the state title so essentially the pressure was off and I just needed to throw my fill ball. The announcer literally says, "this girl has nerves of steel!" I go to pick my ball up off the rack...it rolls straight out of my hands, makes 2 loud bounces on the concourse, and I just watch it roll away toward the next pair. The crowd was immediately silent as I legit just stood there while my 2 coaches chased my ball down. As if that wasn't bad enough, my Grandma purchased VHS copies of the telecast for every member of my family so, needless to say, I will NEVER live that moment down! 🤣🤣🤣

Get well soon, Kyle, and hope to see you on the lanes soon. Brad, I wish you all the best in the Shawnee Classic this week. I bowled on 41' Bear last month, and I understand how the bowlers feel about this tough pattern. You can only do your best and if things don't go your way, just brush it off and move on to the next tournament.

Best of luck to the both of you. I’ll definitely keep your back in my prayers Kyle! I totally understand that there’s a point where you just have to suck it up and do it. That goes for anything in life, not just bowling. Of course your back isn’t close to being ready ready, but the only way to see where it’s actually at is to test it out. Try to take it easy and not push it too hard, and just do what you do. Kill it out there!

Yeah, having a messed up back (or neck, because I have both issues, myself) pretty much affects everything you do. Unfortunately I had to stop bowling entirely because of the pain that I was going through. It was getting to the point that the adrenaline that I used to get from bowling wasn't even touching the pain, so I just had to stop. I really miss it. I hope the same doesn't happen to Kyle.

Hey Kyle! If you're experiencing a lot of general stiffness/soreness, please highly consider getting a high-quality massage gun. I bought a Theragun Pro and it fixed a lot of physical problems I had prior to and received from bowling. I used to have right knee tracking issues/sticky patella, a nasty back/shoulder blade adhesion from my left balance arm swinging out, and also a left hip problem from just general sliding--my massage gun fixed all of it in 2 months. A Theragun or Hyperice are going to be one of the 2 brands you get, but they're going to significantly help you recover and prevent injuries/need for surgery, in my opinion. There's a good reason you see massage guns commonly used on the field in the NFL!

Kyle, I don't know what it's like to have your talent and want to get back in the game you love and make a living at. I DO know about back issues. Go slow. Trying to go full bore, before YOU feel like it is probably your body giving you a suggestion not to abuse it. It takes time to recover and this is nothing you don't know. Anytime I hurt myself, regardless of what the injury was, I did what I could without being superman too early. Start a week or 2 before you're really ready could set you backs weeks or months more. Yea, it's all stupid advise, but it's true. Absolutely start bowling again and go slow. Start with a few games at 75-80% and build. Another few weeks and hopefully your good, but just don't re-injure it. Enough of that!! You have 1 of the smoothest games on tour and so does Brad. Enjoy watching you guys on video and TV. Do you or Brad believe that there are justvtoo many options for balls anymore?? I mean really, how many different balls can be good. 100 balls in your arsenal?? Just curious. Take care and hope to see you in a final soon.

These professional bowlers really put in the work and I bet they could even do better if they warmed/stretched properly. I see them all the time going straight into stretching before hitting the lanes. That is where injury comes into play. You can’t start by stretching. Your body has to be warmed up prior to stretches. What should be done is something like a slow run in place for about 3 minutes and then the next two minutes, pick up the pace a little bit until you start a little perspiration. Then do the stretches as the body is warmed up. Then you could go into conditioning your hand and get ready to bowl. Doing this will help in preventing injury and get more progress from the stretches. They bowl so much and some need to change their warmup/stretching routine.

If you guys can, can you do a video about ball fitting? IE: how tight should the thumb plug be, angle of the holes and sensation/balance while holding the ball. There is crap ton of videos about where to drill, but nothing about what it should feel like. Drill a ball with the wrong angle and talk about how it feels and the relief of a correctly drilled one. For me, the pro shops around me (i’m working in Belgium) is there to make money, not for the sport or welfare of the bowler. Even a 13# ball feels super heavy….. I tried open thumb with tape and even slugs. The slugs they use here are Super Tight! I have to whip it off my hand just to get the ball off and have massive bruises on the pad of my thumb. The pro shop tells me that is my issue (loosely translated, meaning I’m bowling wrong).

50/50. That sounds unsure to me. You want to bowl the tournament but you're hesitant about reinjuring yourself. IF I would you honestly I will sit this one out. When you get back to your home center you can bowl a game to see where you are. If you feel no pain then bowl another game to see where you are.
