Will Luz Make Her Own Palisman?

After Luz showed her growth in Young Blood, Old Souls during her fight with Emperor Belos, I've been wondering if Luz will be receiving or making her own palisman in the near future. Dana Terrace's Reddit AMA also gave us a little bit more information on palisman that could hint at them being more of a focus in the series. Add in the fact that the Bat Queen will be making another appearance in the future, then Luz taking steps towards a staff and palisman may not be that far fetched.

Yeah I can see that happening. Because we know Luz is a kind hearted little rebal like you said and she earned the Bat Queen's trust. Maybe she will accidentally find a broken one and bond with it and it will become hers. Plus we don't know what happens with palismans when their witch dies. Maybe it was another forgoten tradition like glif magic that witches would adopt an abandoned palisman and make it their own.

That is a nice theory but then she'd also need to find the staff that goes to that particular palisman, as each one has an interlock that connects them specifically to the staff they were made for.

Yeah, I imagine they make an episode where she forgets a bond with an abandoned palisman. I'm sure they could find a work around for the staff problem, such as figuring out what the lock is like and creating the staff accordingly. They say it only fits one staff because only one staff is made to fit it, meaning you could likely make a new staff that still fits the palisman.

I would totally want to see Luz get her own staff and Palisman by season 2. I think Luz would probably get like a cat, or maybe an otter, maybe even something like a bird of some sort. Or maybe something to represent Luz’s quirks and uniqueness like a fusion hybrid animal, Maybe she can carve it out of the tree she and amity made together from their grom dance. Speaking of that, it makes me want Amity to also get a staff and Palisman. I have a feeling the pink tree from grom will serve an important purpose. Also I hope for owl house 1 hour specials and maybe some movies.

I think that Luz might make a bird like Palisman since using Eda’s so often, simply because they can fly. (We’ve only ever seen bird talismans fly so...) Or, given her fascination with cats and out of the box thinking. What if she made some type of Griffon like Palisman? Part cat, part bird. I always wondered about the Griffon in the first episode, the spider breath one. Maybe it was slight foreshadowing inside a joke. Luz is continuously breaking the mold of normal witches. She’s human instead of a witchling and has to use glyphs with most elemental ones appearing naturally around the Boiling Isles. That does raise a question though since we have never seen a hybrid like Palisman. What I mean is yes we have seen something like a horned snake, but those Abandoned Palismans each have most of their bodies as one creature. I wonder if it’s even possible for someone to carve a Palisman like a Griffon which has natural divide between feathers and fur.

In the bat queen episode, we see many abandoned palismans that are not birds. So I believe that it doesn’t specifically have to be a bird, her animal would maybe be the otter, cat, griffin, or maybe a mix of all of them!

I see that people comment that Luz's palisman is going to be a cat, a otter, a bird, or a reptile. To me, I feel like she's going to create a hybrid. Like the combination of a cat, otter, bird, and reptile all together like a griffin, manticore or a chimera body type. Because it could represent her uniqueness, as well the small part of the Clawthrone family since she is like part of the family. I think that it might be a winged serpent for a few reasons: First this would for one hearken back to the 'incident' regarding her book report that set the events of the series in motion, Secondly snakes being a symbol of wisdom in many cultures (like owls and ravens) and like the aforementioned birds also a symbol of magic/witchcraft, Finally as a nod to her Latino heritage with the feathered serpent being depending on the culture wisdom, the gateway to the spiritual realm, or a mediator between forces. Besides being the artist that she is Luz's design is bound to be a little more on the complex side.

I'm surprised that the plant coven would let any plants get anywhere near extinction let alone extinct, the greenthumb gauntlet would probably be the best solution to the problem of needing more of the tree that is used to make palismens. However the mention of the resource doesn't state that it's a tree, or even organic, it could be that there's some other component that we aren't yet aware of, like a special varnish or oil ( linseed oil is sometimes used to give a sort of glossy look to wood ). We don't really know what this resource is we all just assumed it was the tree because palismens and ( most ) staffs are wooden, but when woodworking you use more than just wood to make the finished product especially when making something that is going to be used often and put through a lot of future wear and tear like furniture or a staff.

I got a theory: Btw emperor bellows might be the titan Remember the elder bassallis from the school episode well it might’ve been out for revenge my theory is that Emperor bellows thought that the tribe people were a waste of magic so he tamed the elder bassallis the bassallis took everybody’s magic from there bellows captured and killed the bassallis that he tamed he took the magic from there stomachs one of the bassallis escaped and it wanted to take over everything bellows worked for first it started by stealing all the magic from students from bellows’s schools but was stopped because of luz and the detentioners which bellows captured because principal bump reported it then killed Big part:maybe that green thing bellows cracked into his eye was bassallis blood that had magic in it and he was storing the blood ever since he killed all the bassallis

I do find it cool how we saw in young blood old souls that with the staffs they dont need to do their circles for magic but you can still only use the magic you know like how luz didnt have to do the glyphs when using the owlbert staff but she was only able to do powered up versions of the spells she already knows like the ice one used heavily in the fight

I think I read someone's post on tumblr where they had the theory that the tree Amity and Luz created while defeating Grom is actually one of those special tree that you make a palisman and staff from!! Which if you think about it, makes a decent amount of sense! Both Amity and Luz's magics were amplified by each other (with Amity's abomination being similar to the size of the one we see in Covention, when she has the Construction Coven power glyph on her, and Luz's simple flower spell quickly evolving into a rapid growth of flowers and vines within Grom) and with the 2 magic's seemingly merging together within Grom to explode outward into a fully grown tree! The stature of which reminded me of a well matured redwood tree, tall enough to scrape the sky and just as wide! If that's not the case, I do hope we get to see the Grom Tree sometime in future episodes! Even if its turned into a hang out spot for the Owl House crew to just relax and unwind for a bit when the Owl House itself gets a little too chaotic!

This can be done in a school trip kinda thing. That way not only Luz but the others can also get a Palisman. Maybe not everyone though like that tree might not even exist anymore but if it does it is pretty rare. That’s why this thing can be a competition or a treasure hunt kind of thing. The ones who get a Palisman can be Luz and her friends and maybe her enemies
