the lore is cool, but there are still some questions: 1. if it was really such an amazing relationship, why is she so quick to jump to violence? Is there a virus in the simulation? 2. Where did the blood on her jacket and the brain in the fridge come from? Were there once other people in the simulation? 3. Do you (in-lore) just respawn with reset memories each time? if so, is the blood and the brain yours? 4. If there is no virus, then is it some kind of safety precaution to stop you from leaving? is the world outside of the simulation not actually gone, with the simulation as some kind of prison meant to stop you from finding out? if so, why?

Ooo, that's a nice theory! And maybe that same virus is what gives Greenskull the mission to escape, like whoever made the virus wants to cause problems between them. If left alone they'd just peacefully live together forever just like they did in the years before the world ended, but Greenskull has this constant nagging feeling that he has to leave, and when he tries to Lady completely looses her sense of self and what Greenskull means to her and turns violent, only for the simulation to restart and trap them in an endless cycle of heartbreak and betrayal

I did. If you do it nicely, she acknowledges it and is open to let you leave without chasing you down. However the 4th wall is kinda broken from there on. I went to the lobby with her, asked about the pictures hung on the walls and she just told me the developers put them there for me to enjoy. She just reemoved anything lore-related from her dialogues.

Honestly I think the story here is that the creators were testing a new project to preserve people after the end of the world and just ran out of time and used/transferred two people into that reality before it was finished. Thus causing issues. Maybe him trying to escape was something as simple as escaping the house to buy a anniversary gift without her seeing and it got warped in that reality and on the flip side it also warped personalities such as hers.
