10:45 why didn't Disco just go kill the 3rd? That attack into the natural violated the tasteless rule! Also 21:50 ForGG could've probably rushed up into the main and used his tanks to kill all the pylons powering the gateways and then destroyed all the tech. You can see from this point on how the supplies just keep shifting more and more Protoss favoured due to the imbalance of mining bases. ForGG was completely all-in because of this so he really needed to get the checkmate

- Not using 1 scan on the observer was bad over the 3 Facts I believe (7:50) allowed Protoss to see the units coming out, the timing of the Command Centre too! 1 Scan & then Protoss is guessing - you should only need the 1 scan there. IF you use both, then just delay things slightly. Make a few more factories to throw the opponent off & kill the obs, then start the command centre! - Also being in Age of Empires right now they are all SPAMMERS, they don't watch their games & don't think critically into it. I mean we still get patches in a sense & think about the future on that front which doesn't happen really here... so that adds an extra dynamic. But damn it's so simple, where you can improve just by rewatching your games to see how you play - then also watch full casts & analyses!

Yeah so it wasn’t noticed until 12:00 but forgg actually dropped at 11:00 and killed 8ish probes while losing only 3 scvs during the push. I’m inclined to believe this stopped the max potential of the push and also saved his own workers

ForGG is basically just throwing builds at the wall, while being creative and experimental. It seems less about trying to play Meta and more see what he could use as Anti Meta or old tech becoming new again to combat the norm. Sometimes the best strategy is simply to confuse your opponent, then exploit their mistakes. Unorthodox methods have shown time and time throughout history to either be a huge success or fail miserably in many different facets of life.

Artosis, I just theorized: could a gas-first build with three very fast factories (one with an addon) and non-stop marine production maybe, be viable, given how many greedy Protoss players there are, and considering that even gas/expansion pushes sometimes succeed?

The best thing about life is that you actually *CAN* cast only ForGG (TvZ) games if you wanted. 😂It is entirely possible. I am here not because I want something in particular from you. I am here because I want to see what *Artosis* comes up with because it was always actually amazing when you did what you wanted. What you want is usually great ideas, you are Artosis. Is there a measure/estimate of how many active S-rank players there are on average in, say, the last few ladder seasons? I don't even have a concept of the order of magnitude i.e. are there roughly 100? 1000?

In order to be S rank you have to be in the top 1% of all players on the ladder. Maybe 200?

usually around 600-700. But most of these are duplicate accounts that belong to the same person. Usually it's around 250 individual players. Most in S rank are concentrated at the border of A to S rank, which is currently at around 2244 MMR. like 350 of the S rankers are below 2300. the next 200 are within 2300-2400. 179 names are above 2400. 63 above 2500. 15 above 2600. 4 above 2700 in Scan, Light, hacker, Speed(2800).

After seeing the post-match meta review, the question I have is: don't pro players discuss strategy? Follow the meta change (not follow as in do the same, but get up to date on the whats and the whys)? I had the same question when we followed Flash's return. I mean, I understand the need to try it for themselves, but it doesn't have to be That many games.

one of the things ruining the tvp game currently is the maps not allowing building anywhere. terran relies heavily on keeping melee off its units and maps for a while now just say nope you cant build anywhere

That wouldn't really be a game ending play. Wisco could have just built his production at one of the southern bases. With three healthy mining bases, and 4GG's army just babysitting a dead protoss base, the protoss would run away with that game pretty fast.

i think he would just gate up pretty quick, did you see how fast he came back to 200 cap supply after a pretty sizeable supply block when he was hitting the 3rd? but that might force the production farther away from ForGG, would be fun to see how that would have played out. maybe snipe some tech buildings while he was in there, could have been interesting.
