My problem is I know "one cheat meal" opens up a door I don't have the strength to close. It ALWAYS turns into a chest month 😂 food is my heroin. People tell me "be stronger" and "have more willpower" but I'm at the point where I truly believe being "stronger" means accepting I'm not strong enough to control myself 😮💨

I’m the same way but I can turn that switch off the next day. If I have a cheat MEAL I would just literally binge the whole day.

The answer is… it depends. If you’re working hard to look great for an event or show then no, but if I eat good for six days and want to have a beer and a bag of cookies 🍪 at the weekend then I will. I look forward to it and if I never allowed myself the things I love my life would be horrible. We are only here a short time. It’s about finding your own happy medium…

This happened to me this past weekend. I’ve came down from 227 to 192 since March of this year. This past weekend I decided to drink all weekend and have cheat meals and I blew up from 192 to 200! I was devastated but it was an eye opener and I can see the weight go down little by little so I definitely is a major set back.

I was just thinking about this, last night. When I don't prepare my meals in advance, I tend to end up binging. The peanut butter cravings are hard to overcome. I do enjoy your recipes, I just have to stick to the ones I can stash in the fridge or freezer unless I have more time. Thanks for the vids. Also, my favorite video is the one where you talk about consistency and not making excuses. ❤

You can eat what you would like on a cheat day or not. The GOAL is to stay in a defecit. So 500 below your maint. Cals. If on a day you plan to eat a high calorie food/meal, just try and plan for it. Eat low cal breakfast and high protein. Save the extra calories for that big meal. And if you go over it will not be by much because you saved up so many calories, and the next day get back on track and its like the cheat meal never happened. You got to treat yourself at times, stop making this a battle with food. No food is bad, just depends how much you are having of it. Also, if you cut 500 cals all week, then on Saturday you have a total calorie day of maintence and maybe even a little over, you DO NOT ruin your whole weeks progress!!! Stop thiking this, your body has been cutting cals all week and just because you eat maint or above on 1 day, it is not going to back track you. Bottom line: Save cals when you plan on having some big meals, try to stay as close to your defecit as possible. It is ok to live!

My cheat meal is usually homemade and has extra ingredients. Like my stir fry recipe I'll add a little sauce and have some sushi, and egg roll. Gives me my chinese buffet kick.

I would not consider this a cheat meal. Sounds like all good ingredients and food that your body could utilize.

Agree man, gotta have a cheat meal once a week to keep me honest. I allow 30 mins once per week after my weigh in to eat what I want-no tracking but I figure about 800-1000 calories. Working good so far.

I have cheap meals all the time not frequently and not often but I have them and it really doesn't matter to me I don't feel bad in having a cheat meal I just get back to the regular routine and then by the way you're ana bars are off the chain

After 20yrs of being a daily drinking(8-12) and a gym rat at the same time, I can confirm that alcohol is a lose lose. I'm only on day 13 and I'm down 7lbs after changing nothing but the abstinence. My energy is through the roof, bloating 100% gone, I eat less automatically cuz the booze makes me hungry as fk. In the morning when I wake up I feel high like I'm on coke or something. I find myself waking up and doing wierd sht like cleaning the trashcan and organizing the closet 😂. I'm gonna get shredded bros....🎉

my experience is it doesn’t make much difference in maintenance. one meal and a dessert i like doesn’t impact me tremendously. If i were trying to cut for competing i’d nix it but on maintenance it’s fine. if you’re trying to cut or lose and haven’t hit weight loss goal then take it more seriously because you’re trying to cut all calories you can. The broader overarching problem is an entire weekend is not a day , it’s a cheat meal not a cheat day or cheat weekend that’s where most people F up.

About these Anabars, because I've been looking for a good protein bar but everything has Sucralose or something else not great. I looked these up and isn't the sugar content too much or no? Not just the sugar content, but the added sugar also? Still learning about food other than fast food lol.

One meal isnt a big deal, especially if you look at it from the perspective of weekly calorie goal rather than daily. have a bad day and just grind it out the rest of the week.
