The essence of free will lies in the learning that it is possible to do good to yourself without harming or restricting others. You can practice free will but till the point your goal, desire or personal fulfillment do not harm others or stand on others' ways. And that is very difficult thing to do. It needs learning under the able guidance of a guru and years of practice - the practice of following a specific path or a will. Trying to fly an airbus without knowing how to fly in the first place is the recipe for a sureshot disaster. Thank you Gitangshu ji once again for explaining the concept beautifully, and thank you Aman ji for your witty anchoring.

Free Will is a fact within the design of the construct . The construct could not exist without the reality of Free Will . If one believes there is none then for them there is none . The most critical fundamental in Free Will is the act of consideration within the empty bowl .

Confusion occurs only because this generation sees a totally different scenario which was not seen by earlier ones although comfort has increased. What religion says is to light lamp in the evening, but if I am stuck at office or in traffic, if we leave very early we are labelled at office or miss out on important information. If we take our free will to then it becomes we do not follow our religious rituals. The same applies to taking care of parents and children. When coming home you head for meeting instead of feeding them we are filled with guilt, if we quit the job also we become guilty for not utilising ourselves our talents. If we use free will, then we still don't do many things as said by religious principles. We have to in a way balance between will and free will.
