I know a breeder that regularly has 6, its crazy!! Check their ligaments in the hind end. They will lose them right before they kid but they soften leading up to it. Ours always head press a lot leading up to kidding as well.

Those ducks coming across like that is just adorable!! The goats are my favorite, I watch weedem & reap too & C & J Funny Farm, wonderful people you all are. I just wish that you guys and these other farms & sanctuaries would receive as many gifts & blessings that Ima survivor sanctuary gets every month!! They are good hearted & have adorable furrbabies, mostly rescues, & a great family support on big land space, but Ii just wish I could watch all other family farms, rescues, sanctuaries get the same every month!! 🤗❤ Keep well & many blessings, ( healthy babies & moms too!)🐐🙏❤🐖🐈🦃🐓🐔🐾💕

I love how the chickens are so used to being held n loved on. They just allow your daughter to gather them up. Mine would wait at the back door to come in n be held/pet. At the time I didn’t have a hutch. We used to practice what I call “Chicken in a bag”. We had bantams n we would place 2 into an upright paper bag. The LOVED it! They’d sleep peacefully all night in their bags n we’d let them out in the morning. No mess n easy clean up.

Follow up on the garden advice: that is true if you live in a humid climate. Here (southwest Idaho), it is DRY. We cut down the garden and leave it on the sandy patches to give it some organic material. We're pretty serious composters though 😉

Weed’em and Reap’s friend her goat had 7 babies and they were all alive! The Nigerian Dwarf breed too! Also one way you can see if the babies will be coming soon is stand by the goat and take two fingers and pinch the “top” of their tail where their tail starts, if your fingers “touch” each other it will be soon if they don’t that means the ligaments are still their so it will be a few days.

We had wild turkeys in my area and we have a semi private road and 3 mamas with like 25 babies would cross back and forth on the road all the time. We would have to stop the car and wait for them to take their good ole time crossing. We called them the TSA, Turkey security authority.

You need to go watch Crystal over on Blue Cactus Dairy Goats she will show you how to look for the ligaments on the goats tail bones. She is very good at what she does. Thanks for another great video stay safe and god bless

Just wanted to let ya'll know how to check if a pregnant goat is going to have a baby soon. At the end of their tail you can reach down and feel if a ligment is gone or not, it will be really loose and not tight like a normal goats tail. If you want a better reference you can go watch weed em and reap! they are really good with milking goats and spread a lot of good information!

Usually when tails are hanging down they are close to time, check teets for clear or milk. And tendons will "disappear".

It cracks me up that the ducks and the geese wait to swim in and drink from the baby pool when they have a whole creek at their beck and call. Did y’all film this before you “re-farmed“ some of the ducks and the roosters? It just seems like there’s still a large population. I grew up out in the country in North Carolina and there were quail all around us. That “Bob White“ call is such a beautiful sound🥰🥰 Jason, I do see a tap routine to PYT, in your future😂😂
@francislambert51894 жыл бұрын
Interesting that you don't compost or that you till the same garden from scratch. I can see the efficiency and wanting to keep up with worm and molds that are detrimental to ANY garden. very cool. You must at times think or newer ways to do this unless I am looking at it right now. Love this channel......Say hi, to Peaches for me and all of Boston. Peace :)

The record for goat kids in a single freshening is 7. Most common for Nigies is between 1&4. Twins and trips are actually more common than singletons. Healthy, well-cared-for Nannies can raise up to four without supplementation. I know it looks like they're gonna pop, but my Mama always said, "Don't worry. That(those) baby(ies) is(are) gonna come eventually, 'cause it's for sure it can't stay where it is forever!!"
