Using the rice water has really changed my hair oh, I'm going to continue to use it but I'm going to do another method I'm going alternate my two products for my protein treatment that's the hair mayonnaise from ORS, and then my deep treatment Masque from Shea moistures I'm using that as a protein as well but I'm just going to automate those two those are going to remain for the fall and winter and the early part of spring but in the summer from June 1 to the end of September I'm just strictly going to use the rice water for that inclement weather. You should try another method put in your rice water in a applicator bottle and just putting it on the scalp like you would your oils it's a better effective way easily to get to the scalp and also you can apply it to the hair as well I find that much easier than just sprained it on the hair it really works. Can't wait for the results I won't say it happens overnight but over time as using the rice water I noticed my hair started to grow get stronger and has a natural shine and it's softer but be careful because rice water is a protein. @@Tyiece No I use it just as a protein treatment, I put it in a applicator bottle I apply it to my scalp and then I put it on my hair twist my hair up and then put my plastic cap on leave it on for 20 minutes and then I rinse it out very well and then I apply my deep conditioner get into my hooded dryer for 35 minutes. And I do this every 3 weeks

Hey I was hoping you guys can help me. My hair is growing so slowly. Like my sides have always been really shorter than the middle of my hair (it looks like a tapered cut) My brothers can grow up to 2 inches in one month . I don’t eat badly and I take care of my of my hair( 4c). My hair has been short my whole life and I really want to grow it out. I oil my hair and use leave in conditioners and I also take biotin everyday. I also wear my hair in cornrows and in wigs because my hair is uneven and it looks bad when I leave it out. i don’t even like leaving my hair out because i look like a boy and my hair shrinks so much. So how can I grow my hair?

How long do you leave it in the braids before washing? Use the leave in on the hair first then apply oil

be careful, your hair may just be dry, then the takedown can be very harsh since the hair is very brittle. Try taking them down in 2 weeks max. Moisturize well before installing and every few days during the braids. DO NOT comb while dry after the takedown. Drench the hair in a detangler first, African pride aloe preshampoo is great but feel free to use any you like. My hair can't tolerate being braided up and left alone especially with extensions added to the braid. It just becomes very brittle and weak

Water is your best friend as it is a great form of moisture. Make sure your hair is moisturized with a water-based (aqua) moisturizer

I believe u supposed to let the rice ferment. The water supposed to smell sour n nasty.

Does your hair ever shed when you comb it? I just big chopped after 17 months of transitioning & I think I should stop cause i see hair coming off in the tangle teaser/ comb sometimes

Congrats on the big chop. Yes your hair is supposed to shed. It's normal as long as your hair isn't falling out in big clumps

Thank you. But I mean when I comb I don’t see white bulbs that indicate shedding vs breakage. When I took out my sew in I didn’t see any white bulbs at the end but I also didn’t lose much hair. Does that mean it’s breakage?
