It’s really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It’s a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Brian! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

This analysis is based on some very flawed assumptions. The Russian economy is deteriorating, how? What currency will Russia sell its gold in if Russia needs to sell gold, Rubles? The Russians print Rubles. Russian imports fell because of sanctions yes, but also forced self sufficiency. Russian exports are now done outside the Euro dollar system. So if Russia need to access loans from China it would be in Ruble or Renminbi. This would be benificial to China. Why wouldn't China make those loans? The flawed western belief that the dollar is money in every country because it is the world reserve trading currency is a major mistake. Every country has its sovereign currency which is money within its borders. Russia is a net exporter so they have little need for the international reserve trading currency and the more they are sanctioned and become more self sufficient the less they would need the dollar. Also the wealthy Russians are now forced to reinvest their profits in Russia as there is no safety placing their wealth in the western system. The west throwing more money at Ukraine will only push up the cost of vital commodities needed to produce military equipment, simple rule of supply and demand. Western analysts misinterpret information to flatter themselves but this time reality is catching up with the major misinterpretation. Gold is recognised as wealth. Why would Russia sell its wealth for useless fiat?

Jeff, you're in my wheelhouse now. I am part Ukrainian and still have family in Western Ukraine, though I've never met them. For the record, I have been 100% in support of Ukrainian victory since day 1. Despite a constant stream of financial and military aid to Ukraine, as far as I can tell (based on the analysis of people like Prof. John Mearsheimer) they are steadily losing to the Russians. The idea that a Kamala presidency will mean the difference between defeat and victory doesn't seem realistic. As far as Anders Aslund being non-partisan, I beg to differ. He is highly partisan, both as regards Russian-Ukrainian affairs and as regards US domestic politics. Given that decades of sanctions haven't prevented Iran from doing what it recently did to Israel, I highly doubt that one more year of sanctions and military expenditures will force Russia to sue for peace. Given that Putin replaces military leadership at will, I also find it hard to believe they have some huge pile of gold that he can't access. Just doesn't pass the smell test.

Why don't you go fight in Ukraine since you like it so much? I'm sick of paying for NATO and their DISGUSTING war machine, since my first job at Shoney's when I was 15 in 1980. My parents have been paying for these stupid wars, which do not concern us, their entire lives, too, and they were born in 1946! Now we spent a $trillion a year on these obscene wars. Not my job! No more war! Call the Superfriends!

The discrepancy between quarterly gold purchases before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, at an average of 118 tonnes, and the 279 tonnes afterwards is too large. In the end, actions count more than words.

Ukraine is not part of NATO, so we have not obligations to them. If NATO is saying that they have enough money to continue backing Ukraine without US aid, then why did they need the aid to begin with? The economy of the EU is about that of the US. When will Europe be able to stand on it's on two feet?

@rustyshackleford27198 күн бұрын
The level of sympathy for Russia's invasion in some PM quarters is nauseating. Clearly you buy a lot of their nonsense. What's happened in Russia and Ukraine is that one guy decided to invade a country that he doesn't consider to be real in order to bolster his legacy. But hey Russia controls less Ukrainian territory than it did in May of 2022, and it's all going to plan because Andy Schectman et al think so, right?

@@rustyshackleford2719good point. Got to be one of the greatest propaganda job (by Putin) I, a lifetime military history buff and former Cold War army Intel officer, have ever seen, heard of or read of. It's incredible listening to my fellow right-wingers on Ukraine. I've lost family and friends over Ukraine. They e been fully Tuckerized and, with Trump's recent stupid comments as to Russian invincibility (Col. Putin must be punching himself), this just doubles down on the Zelenskyy hate and Russia worship. We used to be a country that admired the Ukraines of the world and loathed Russia. But all that needs to be referred to in order to dispose of this tradition is "escalation" and "corruption"...and that's IT. CORRUPT, CORRUPT, CORRUPT. No evidence of the corruption is ever provided and isn't needed to sustain this claim. Putin's desire to have a Cold War redux is obvious and he's pretty much stated this. The obvious fact that he's using Ukraine as a profitable (land, resources, population, psychological fear instilled in E. Europe) highway to E. European NATO members. These five countries have to be wondering is it worth standing up against the bear or yield as that part of the world has done before.

Cheap gold would help the west. Expensive gold will ruin the dollar and euro. It’s not hard to decode the strategy of Brics. All Russian gold is sold to China - though they are a net buyer of gold. Any Gold bought by China stays in China. China does not permit the sale of gold. Gold goes into Brics - it stays in Brics.

The manipulation-mindset prevents people from respecting the market. You will not be able to make money that way. Jeff may be a mainstreamer and a boomer, which means a political illiterate, but he got the facts right about PMs like no other, while the PM-pushers you are believing in, have been wrong forever. They are only right like a broken clock in 24 hours and they will prevent you from exchanging the gold into other asstets, when the time is right. Do not only accept sources telling you what you want to hear! The ones you disagree with, are more helpful.
