Too funny. I totally sympathize. I learnt some basic Japanese before I went to Japan and thought I could handle myself in a restaurant only to find there's a more 'polite' way of speaking to customers that's totally different to every day speech. Oh well; at least I learned to apologize and say 'thank you'. 😂

I Sympathize with No One! But Only due to sociopathic tendencies, so it's cool and like totally normal. Put it this way, if a plane we were on was going down in some remote wintery mountains with us going to be trapped like the Donner Party, I'd be already Cannibalizing you on the way down, as soon as the emergency lights came on, I'd already be chewing away...

This was hilarious..I had a similar experience in Jamaica. I grew up there until I was 11, and even though I went back almost every year for summer vacation I'd never been there by myself as an adult until 2014. When I go there I speak with a Jamaican accent so ppl assume I'm like everybody else(tourists get ripped off with higher prices all the time) so I make sure to not sound American at all. I went to a lounge and ordered a drink, and when I paid for it I tipped the bartender. He gave me this weird, like almost disgusted look, like, "What are u doing?". I didn't realize people don't tip in Jamaica. In tourist areas and resort bars, ppl tip and it's normal but that's the first time I realized that it wasn't common.

Its privilege, not sure what he meant by white privilege.....
@phily8093 Жыл бұрын
Only white people are privileged. All the rich people in the Middle East, Asia, parts of Africa, and South America, where they are not majority white are clearly deserving of their vast fortunes, and the ones that live in majority white countries who have wealth are just average Joe's with millions, and all of them fine upstanding citizens who give to the poor. White people should just be ashamed for their original sin of having less melanin.
