Thinking about getting the Falkens for my 2024 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X, but was worried about the tire weight difference over the stock Hankooks. Believe the Falkens are about 17 lbs. more per tire and how that would affect the gearing let alone the loss of gas mileage. I'm not worried so much about the gas mileage, just the more wear and tear on the transmission if anything.

@DouglasB65 couldn't speak for your vehicle but you wouldn't be able to convince me otherwise that the falkens didn't play a factor in the way my transmission is currently. The K02s were much lighter and really the only positive the falkens have over them is maybe a slight bit more wet weather performance. Not worth the weight.

Wet performance between the KO2 and the A/T4W seem the same to you? My gosh, man. My KO2s broke loose in the rain with a small tap of the gas. I finally had it and had A/T4Ws put on and those things are absolute champs in the rain. KO2: LT265/70R17 (E-rated) A/T4W: 265/70R17 (SL-rated) Maybe the KO2s sucked in the wet because E-rated ones might use harder rubber?

@WilliamSwartzendruber i will say in the rain the K02s are not as good as the falkens. However snow the k02s are so much better despite neither being a true snow tire. Final thoughts video coming this weekend as I finally aired down and drove in some deeper snow.
