Most of my 18V stuff is Makita but I'm balls deep into the M12 line. I love the smaller compact tools and with the fuel line they have more then enough power for the size of most work. When the battery lights blink just take the battery out and reinsert it. It will work again.

Well good choice! Myself I have huge lines with 18v makita and 12v Milwaukee. Perfect combination 🤘

Nicely done. Using the correct tool for the job is the lesson to be learned. I have the older m12 and use it in automotive and construction jobs and for what it is it dominates.

I use my gen 1 2453 in retrofit weatherization. If I'm driving many 3 1/2"+ fasteners, I'll grab the M18 for sure. Otherwise, I use the M12 for everything else and it has worked well for me for years.

m12 is mainly used for medium and light work. What I'm interested in is how many screws can you shoot with a 2.0ah or 2.5ah HO battery before the battery runs out? There should be a test because I think there are a lot of people interested in this issue

Good video! I’ve been wanting the new Gen 3 combo since it came out especially with the 3 LED lights on the impact . That alone makes me want to upgrade

I’m obsessed with my m12 tools. I’m a small engine mechanic. Use the 2nd gen every single day my most used tool hands down !! Excited to see this video. Considering getting this one to have a second impact.

I'm thinking about getting into the M12 stuff (currently just have Dewalt 20v). Curious as to why you use the gen 2 impact driver vs the 3/8 stubby impact wrench? Reason I am asking is because for my first few tools I was going to pick up the 3/8 stubby as one of them for mostly auto work on my own car.. then for an impact driver I was debating between the gen 3 or the surge and was gonna go with the surge.
@NRP19912 жыл бұрын
@@jonathangaliano2617 honestly I need to get the stubby. But for blades and such I use an air impact. For just regular stuff like engine shrouds. Stihl torx bit stuff. Chainsaws etc just use the hex driver. I also want to get the ratchet as well. I do have the m12 drill and inflator which I use quite a bit at home.

Hello, what model number is it? I work in oak and pine wood carpentry, I make solid beds, furniture, door frames, nightstands, tables and chairs, would this model be powerful and quality enough to work well in my manufacturing? I mostly use screws 2 1/2" long and 5 mm thick, oh please, do you know the current price for September 2024? I'm looking for an impact driver, charger and batteries, not in a kit! Thank you!

Pretty impressive. I picked one up and just tried using it for the first time to drive a few 3" self tapping construction screws. It started off good but when the screw made it about halfway in, the driver didn't seem to want to take it in any further. Just had the slipping ratcheting sound. Am I missing something here?

Low voltage on the 2ah the 2.5 3.0 cp or xp 4.0 5.0 or 6.0 and you wouldn't have these problems its not putting out the voltage needed to drive those big structural lags

Need to cool down, protection mode, as expected. Well, not expected on Makita, the tools for real life work.
@WolfCoTools2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes in real life work, you don't have the time to wait around for your drill to cool off after using, pretty unreliable to me
@joecar567710 ай бұрын
In the real world if your drill is hot enough to shut off you’re doin something wrong thankfully now the tools are smart enough to know that and not let the operator fry itself
