Thanks Mike! Your video does an excellent job of showing us exactly how each Firebox Stove model fits with our new 5-WAY Cookers. A couple other things to think about when considering stove choice is how easily will it be to place the 5-WAY Pan on each of the stoves when cooking (finding placement) as well as the heat signature and output of each stove considering the additional heat needed for 5-WAY Cookers to work well. From what I've learned I think folks will have the best experience with the larger stove setups starting with the G2 5", Freestyle 6 Panel configurations up through the Freestyle 8 Panel Octagon. That having been said I have yet to use the 5-WAY Cookers with the Nano, Scout or 4 Panel Freestyle. I have all the stoves so I naturally went with what seemed best at the time. I'm not saying 5-WAY cookware won't work with the smaller stoves I'm only saying, I think they'll work best with the big ones 👍😎

I keep telling myself I don't need this, but every time I see Steve cooking in one it makes me think I do. Great video. Can't wait to see some of the dishes you prepare in it!

This was the video I’ve been waiting for! I went ahead and got the full kit with 5” firebox on the kickstarter since it was such a great deal and the one firebox stove I don’t have. And the chuckbox and folding table, of course.

It’s great to see how this works with the Freestyle and Nano. I’m not sure I’d use it with the Nano though, but the Freestyle in the various configurations, absolutely!

The 5-Way is definitely overkill for the Nano, but it was cool you tested it anyway. Great video.

I need one of these when they hit production. The deep pan with shallow pan (as a lid) plus food seem like a lot of weight to sit on top of a stove, no? Good to see you back again 👍

When I got the package in the mail and had to lift it off my porch I had the same concerns about weight. But the way everything locks in with the grill lines it’s pretty stable and secure. I’ve accidentally bumped a 10” ultra pan off the stove before but these pans are pretty locked in. It’s just another tool in the bag. Hope the weather gets better for your moto camps! Cheers!

Looking forward to seeing all the delicious meals you prep on this 5-way. You should have shown how well they fit with the grill side facing upward on the stoves also. Also Im sure the nano would be a bit more stable if you used the xcase under it to stabilize the legs. Not that Id really use the nano with this style of cookware lol.

Thanks for the feedback! I had the same thoughts about flipping the pan and the xcase but left it out for future videos, lol. Cheers!

Is the cast iron cooker sold separately? I can't find the link.

Sorry I missed this question, hope you got it figured out!

Love everything Firebox, unfortunately cast iron is too heavy for me to handle since I have osteoarthritis my wrists and thumb can’t handle heavy things. There’s another company making something similar but much more expensive and doesn’t have all the features this one does, is smaller and not based in USA, I’m sure the quality is probably not as good as Firebox.
@offcourseoutdoors8366Ай бұрын
It's not apparent in the videos but you can use two lifter handles (on opposite ends) at the same time to lift the pan. Two handles may make it easier on your wrist, just a thought. Thanks for watching, cheers!

They look really nice! I’ll probably get them at some point lol. I too am a firebox addict… 😂. They really do make good quality products though.
