Ok I watched the first 5 episodes of season 2 and spoilers They talk about destruction a lot and Raz holds the gong that brings only evil and for some reason it actually looks like an oni face on the gong and it powers Raz’s army who wear the wolf masks and also at the end of the 5th episode Raz teleports to a different plane so his master has to be an entity just like the overlord or some being that’s powerful to telepathically connect to Raz from a different realm of existence. Not saying he is the overlord because it’s not but it’s a powerful being. Now the master is powerful enough to gain the power of all the source dragons because lord Raz says he will defeat all the source dragons and give him all their powers but not sure if that’s true and he can but I think that hints that the master is THAT powerful and not only that… they know the shatter spin technique which is a dark spinjitzu technique.

I don’t know if I would like to see the oni make an appearance in Dragon’s Rising but if the writers ever said that they could fit into the story I wouldn’t be mad.

I think that the Ninjago writers are trying to avoid mentioning the Oni as a result of crystallized, despite that not being the issue. I think that if the Oni were to return, they would likely have already been mentioned.

Now I have a crazy theory that's probably not even true but I have always been thinking about this. I generally believe that all the snake tribes are from Legends of chima and let me explain. In lego Ninjago there are 16 realms plus Ninjago so that would make it 17 and one of them is Legends of Chima. I believe when the first Spinjitzu Master was making the realms. The snakes we're supposed to be in Legend of Chima but I believe while he was making the realms he accidentally sent the snakes to Ninjago. The only reason why I'm saying this is because the snakes magically appeared from underground but I believe there's more to it. Well the first Spinjitzu Master was creating Ninjago he accidentally affected the snakes to become a human form and the snakes from the legend of Chima or supposed to be the serpentine or the other tribes. Plus the design of Pythor on his chest there is a circular design and it kind of looks like where you put chi inside to activate his power but sense his kind was born in Ninjago. he was never able to activate his full power because his power is technically from The legend of Chima and not from Ninjago the same can apply to the other snake tribes. Also I forgot to point out that if you looked at the other anacondrai they also have a circle design on their chest. So this makes me think that the anacondrai is supposed to be the main snakes of the serpentine and the other tribes are just Representatives. So this could be the reason why the other tribes don't have a circular design on their chest and will probably never be able to activate their full power but if any anacondrai found chi somehow. I believe they will be able to activate it making them very powerful and maybe a different form. The last thing I'm going to say is that in the legend of Chima all the tribes have their certain technology making their society very advanced but in Ninjago none of the make tribes really have advanced technology to help them fight in a war while the surface dwellers or known as humans have that advantage of technology. I just like to say this is just a theory but I generally hope this is true because this would make it an interesting story in Ninjago and maybe more of a back story to the snakes.

I think Lord Ras is an oni in disguise. Although it has been confirmed that he is a tiger, he is black with purple stripes and these are the colors of the oni. I would love to see the Omega again. He has so much untapped potential.

Although Ras' master has "golden" powers, it is commonly canon that dark entities, like the Overlord, can use light and golden powers with no self-harm to themselves. I think Ras' master is an Oni who has mastered the powers of light and creation and can strengthen his/her own power by dominating the Source Dragons. The oni are the only species in Ninjago who have a grudge against the dragons and it is visually shown that the Forbidden Five have oni features in them.

Me personally I’d love it. They wouldn’t have to bring the same group back either. I can’t explain why but it’s self explanatory. This is one thing that shouldn’t be up to interpretation. But there are source dragons in DR, they still brought dragons back but not the same ones. This might have been me, but in the new DR episodes, i thought I heard a little bit of their soundtrack, and that’s all I’m gonna say. None of it was full on, it kinda blended into the current soundtrack. And the music at the wolf temple thing, it sounds like the overlord theme but kinda like it reversed or something. Not the same sound but idk None of this makes any sense. I’m just shocked that nobody has asked the writers on Twitter about them as a whole since DR…….

think they´re dead too but only the evil ones lead by Omega there are totally more oni like Misaky out there and are living a peaceful live in diffrents realms I mean they don´t have any Warlord/Onilord left and all his followers are dead and we kown there there are evil dragons (skulldragon) so why shoulldn´t there be more good Oni arounds
