They're basically piezoelectric tweeters that can be used as microphones, sometimes ASMRtists have used headphones and other interesting drivers, maybe tiny speakers, as microphones before, as they basically turn them into dynamic microphones. Dynamic microphones are basically just tiny speakers used as microphones. Although not exactly the same, there are some major differences between the two, I think piezoelectric mics are sort of maybe close cousins to the condenser microphone. One of the most common microphones used recognized by it's wonderful audio quality they produce. Both piezoelectric tweeters and condenser microphones are basically usually two metal plates and one vibrates against the other creating change in electrical resistance, but they do have some key differences, I don't think a condenser microphone could be used as a speaker, but I could be wrong.

Late to the game this video, I’m usually quick to arrive! I used to watch these nomic videos with earbuds and had to lower the volume because of intensity, but now I am a crackhead who just plays the videos on the phone speaker! Definitely easier to have volume up now for me and still have the intensity. And, of course, you are always creative with what you do with them! Thanks for the Vladeo :)
