Will this $300 Yamaha R6 Run? - Part 1

Today I'm sharing a new motorcycle project I'm currently working on.
The legendary first generation Yamaha R6. This gen ran from 1999-2002.
It was still carbureted back then
I was able to get my hands a 2000 R6 from a friend.
He had one sitting in his backyard for years. He sold it to me for a great deal.
I paid $300US ($400CAD) I'm very grateful for that. He was just happy it was going to me and it wasn't just sitting any longer. I have no clue if it runs or not, as there is a lot of weather damage. It was covered with a tarp at times but there is clear wear on a lot of things.
I will do my best and restore this bike. I'm going to give it a new colorway with new fairings and paint the tank as well. (It will no longer be blue)
I plan to learn a lot of things during the process.

Picked up a 2000 r6 . Not as good yours for a project for 400 Got the.engine starting and running yesterday. Carb cleaning and plugs ... wanted to make sure it runs before dumping money Now the rest of work starts. ...stood outside fron 2011

@@MotoGearSolid Hey, I'm in the NW part of Brampton. The bikes got 49,000 on it. Its had a brake service, new tires, battery, and lights, oil change done recently. Let me know, I'm thinking of selling it

Ya it's been around lol. I've got ownership for it. Brand new tires on it, led lights (needs a flasher relay as they blink fast) plus a few other things done by a shop. I was thinking around $1,800. If you are interested let me know we can talk, it would be cool to see what you can do with it
