Will this 75 year old airplane start...? | Cessna 140 Restoration | Part 1

In 2014 I purchased this 1947 Model Cessna 140. Unfortunately it has been in storage for since then. In this video, I begin the process of troubleshooting the ignition and fuel systems to determine what all will need to be repaired. I also show how to "Pre Oil" the aircraft after it sat for several years. I am excited to have you along to follow the journey of this aircraft as we attempt to get it back in the air soon!

Just found your channel and I love it! The 140 you're working on is as old as me. :) Where are you located? I'm in Clearwater , Florida. I'm a Commercial/Instrument pilot that has not been able to fly for several years due to health issues. I miss flying so much but don't know anyone who has a plane here. I tried getting connected with pilots here but had no luck. I'd be willing to pay for the gas just to get back in the air. At one time I was building a homebuilt taildragger but couldn't get it finished and donated the airframe to Embry Riddle University. I'll look forward to watching you as you get this old girl back up in the sky! God bless! I subscribed to your channel.

Thought for a minute I’d have to pull the engine to install the mags…. I did loose the first mags footage due to not hitting the record button. 😞
