For me, the mark of a truly great championship team is how they look in the seasons surrounding that championship. Are you knocking on the door every year or was it just a case of the perfect circumstances? This team fits the bill. My admittedly unfair hesitation comes from them playing in the Eastern Conference. Its been terrible for like 15 years. Right now its a stacked Celtics team and whatever team manages to overachieve that year. They lost to GSW in a series and they're beating up on a Mavs team thats closer to that "perfect circumstances" run than a real contender. And dont get me wrong, i really like this team. I've been rooting for Jaylen Brown in particular for years to finally get the kind of recognition he's getting this year. I just struggle to want to elevate this team too high given the competition they've faced.

@@tradingpost431C'mon, man. You have a chance to win YOUR FIRST NBA TITLE and you get BENCHED in the third quarter down 30?? That's exactly why I can't Tatum or Brown seriously as NBA "superstars." @@gkniffen they just had a bad game. Probably let their emotions get to them and got too excited because they know the title is close. Yeah it was a mistake, but stuff like that happens sometimes. Think about it like this: for the last 2-3 years, Tatum has been considered a top 5-10 player in the NBA. Jaylen Brown has been just has good as him the entire time, whether people could see it or not. Porzingis is still the unicorn. His concern is injury not skill nor talent. When we look back at this era, when this is all history, these guys will be considered the best players in the NBA of this generation. Think about it. Three generational players of the 2020s all on the same team. What other teams have three generational players all on the same team, GOING INTO THEIR PRIMES. Those are the types of teams this team should be in the conversation with. This could end up as one of the best teams of all time.

Jason did this to himself. Shooting sidestep and contested threes late in the shotclock after dribbling for 8-10 seconds. Shooting highly contested jumpers. JB goes to the hole more, shoots more midrange jumpers, and doesn’t settle for those contested shots. Tatum is good, but he has to go the hole more and shoot more midrange shots.
@stingrey15716 ай бұрын
the conversation for the first half of this video reminds me of Walter Payton. He was the best all for the Chicago bears. Then in 85, when they won the superbowl. They did it with defense. He was barely a factor. Worse, everyone including the gm scored a touchdown BUT Walter. Reportedly he was pissed. However they did just win a championship.

@edwardvalencia98736 ай бұрын
Recognize the difference between the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference. In the Eastern conference at the moment.. The most talented team is going to make it through. Which in this case is Boston. So the East at the moment is winning by Talent. But in the West... it's more about matchups since so many teams are good. Denver lost to Minnesota because it was a bad matchup. Minnesota lost to Dallas because of a bad matchup. So the west lends itself to potentially being less talented than the winner out of the east. Because if Denver was in the final, they'd match up better than Dallas. Even Minnesota matches up better to boston than Dallas. Which sounds odd since Minnesota lost to Dallas. But again.. match ups.
